This episode originally aired on CBS 56 years ago last Wednesday night; which was Wednesday, January 4th, 1967. And I watched that same episode as a 9-year-old fourth grader.
Out of all the zany episodes, this has to be my favorite. Lisa learning to drive makes me laugh so hard every time i nearly wet myself. This never gets old; I’ve been watching since 1979.
I remember seeing every single episode of "Green Acres" every single time that it was aired. Please think positive daily. ™ August 06, 2023 @ 8:15 am ™
Thank you very much, Shatner Method, for uploading this interesting video so that I can see it again in the near future. Please have a nice day today. ™ August 06, 2023 @ 8:45 am ™
Then in 2005 London Tipton in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody had my generation calling the shift "Prindle". I just learned that the joke was adapted from this. The hotel manager Mr. Moseby was teaching the hotel heiress London Tipton how to drive. She pronounced the gear shift "'prindle". They enhance the joke by having Mr. Moseby refers to the radio frequencies AM and FM as "AMMM" and "FMMM" which is followed by them crashing through the wall of the hotel lounge when London goes to pull out of the parking lot but puts the car in reverse instead of forward.
So this were The Suite Life of Zack and Cody the PRNDL joke from. Though London calls the shift prindle instead pernundul. Not the exact same but the joke in that show was taking from this. I prefer how The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I think its punchier and has comedic timing because they enhance the joke with Mr. Moseby pronouncing the radio frequencies AM and FM as "AMMM" and "FMMM!
