For a team to show promise in preseason is quite admirable, especially to know there's reliable back-ups, regardless if they played against another team's practice or third stringers, IT'S PRESEASON, it's technical a win and some can be a mess and barely earned a win, but the Broncos? Those are some back to back promising performances whether you like them or not, don't be a man karen over a team that's doing well to try to underplay their success, it's poor-sported and comes off immature.

He’s not gonna be measured against the Packers’ backups or against Stidham and Zach Wilson-he has to compete in a division with Patrick Mahomes. It’s gonna be fun watching Sean Payton’s tired, wannabe Parcells act fail again this season. He’s never accomplished anything without Brees, and even WITH Brees, he underachieved. I see another miserable season in Denver’s future-followed by yet another shot at a rebuild.

Dosen't matter that they're not playing the opposing teams 1st line player's? If anything it tells you that Nix has plenty of potential upside in his play, but he's still a work in progress. You need to temper your expectations on his success. There will be both struggles and achievements. Long season. The coaching will mainly want to see steady improvement as the season progresses. Playoffs unlikely. If they win 8-9 games I think you'd call that an improvement to be happy with.

All the scouts did not have him super low on the draft boards. Some had him in the 1st round, some in the 2nd, & a few in the 3rd. This is a persecution narrative the local media clowns have been pushing & it's false. I know because I read about 20 NFL scouting reports on Nix. That said, completing a few dump off passes & check down throws in a preseason game in which you have your starters with you while the defense is playing its backups does not prove a QB is an NFL starter. Nix has not shown he can make NFL caliber reads yet, that he can go downfield with the ball in the middle of the field, or that he can fit the ball into tight windows beyond a few yards away. All those tings are requirements for NFL starters. On top of this, his mechanics need some serious work. He throws off platform when he doesn't have to, which is something that is difficult to fix. I think Denver would be wise to let him sit for 2024.

I care what he an do in a real game against live fire from NFL defenses being creatively used to confuse him. I did not base this one on throw. I went back & looked at every play one at a time in both of these games. Based on what I saw he's not ready. The fawning press parrots each other & knows comparatively little about the NFL game. The same people chirping about how this kid compares to Payton Manning are the ones who were singing the praises of the trade that brought Russ to Denver.

I was born a broncos fan. Mom could see old mile high from her hospital window. I've been through the good bad and the just plain ugly. I'm just hopeful we can have a winning season and build a good defense too. I would definitely consider a 6 and 2 in the west as a major victory

He has the 2nd highest TD to INT ratio in the history of the league & will likely be in the Hall of Fame one day. BTW...Nix looked almost exactly like 2022-23 Wilson in both these games. I saw almost everything that got Wilson run out of Denver & nothing that indicates he's ready for the NFL as a starter.. Tap the brake on this kid till he takes a snap in a real game.
