Sad, isn't it? With a little help on the offensive line, and keeping some of the really good secondary players for more than 2 years, each, the Packers could have been the Patriots.
@@7hew0lv3r1ne ranked 7th in passer rating, 13th in pass yards per game, 13th in yards per attempt, 9th in INTs. The competition was decent, probably a 9/10 in difficulty: Cutler x2 (67.5 & 90.8) Stafford x2 (87.8 & 102.1) Bridgewater x2 (100.7 & 45.7) Wilson (91.8) A. Smith (80.2) Kapernick (55.4) Rivers (99.7) Foles (23.7) P. Manning (96.9) Newton (104.4) Carr (63.8) Cassel (41.5) Palmer (107.8 & playoffs 92.4) Cousins (playoffs 91.7) I'd say that was a great year by the pass defense.
Was at this game with my best friend. At the time he said, "It starts here. They're winning out and running through the playoffs." I thought it was kind of crazy but it held true. It means more today as he would pass in a freak work accident two years later. The last Super Bowl we saw together and I still have this ticket stub as the last game we were at together. Very special game.
@@hengineer definitely a severe talent drain due to injuries and free agency. Jennings was never the same after he left, Finley had awful injury luck, and the Packers just gave up on Eddie Lacy after some very good years. :-/ I will never understand why they thought Hundley was serviceable (he wasn't) after Barr busted up Aaron's season in 17.
Man, this was a great game, Kuhn had a fantastic game.Jennings, Jones, Jordy, Driver, heck they were all great. Hawk, Mathews, the whole D was great. Nice post.
erbgorre and it’s crazy that he would do it again 6 years later in the 2016 wild card game. Had an amazing strip sack play in which he was the only one that knew it was a live ball.
I remember like it was yesterday watching this game in Mexico during winter break during my senior year of high school. Such a fun game and Rodgers performance led me to my first fantasy football championship in a win against my brother
my favorite packer receiver ever but your right and i could never understand that about him. His hands were incredible but it’s like every once in awhile he would have lapses in concentration...
5:45 After Kuhn's touchdown you can see him telling the sideline to run the next play quick, because he was short and he knew it. Which they did, and they kept the touchdown. Ahh...the days before every touchdown was reviewed.
This game is proof the Packers are at their best when Rodgers gets the ball out quick in the pocket. Nowadays you see him running for his life on half the offesnive snaps. And while we all love to see him make those magical throws on the run, they are simply not needed when the job can get done in much easier fashion. I think LaFleur can help in that department.
SJW Destroyer Exactly, and that’s why we’ve seen so many more of the amazing extended plays from Rodgers in recent years, because he’s had to attempt a higher volume of them.
The electricity in the stadium was crazy this game. Just listen to the “Kuhn!” cheers at 10:37 before the play. Then once they see Aaron throw it to him the crowd goes nuts, thus solidifying their pre-snap wishes lol.
The most incredible... On my birthday... First game at lambeau.... Drank for free all day and night with some glow patches they have me at stadium bar that stuck to my jersey🤣🤣❤️❤️ best ever!!
I wish Arod could sling like this again. I really wanna get Rodgers an elite WR core next year. It’s now time for the WR to make him look good. When he was young he made these guys look like all pros. Love to see Julio Jones or Odell Beckham somehow get to GB and maybe a vet like Larry Fitz to ring chase 1 final year
This Receiving Core... everbody could get open 1on1... and get open fast... our slot was a veteran who knew his strengths and used it...Beautiful Chemistry... But now all we have is D. Adams and Teams know it.
Its crazy they had the most giveaways in the league but the most takeaways in the league some werent even his fault. Receivers had butter fingers and tipped passes.
Ball on the 5 yard line Crowd: kuuuuuuuuuuhn Ball is snapped and thrown to kuhn Crowd: KUUUUUUUUUUHN That shit was funny. i miss having someone on the team for the crowd to go OOOO for
This is the real Eli Manning that AR12 haters dont talk about when they bring up rings. JAG QB that got lucky with/carried to two championships by Defense.
Except Eli won SB MVP both times. You talk like those defenses were the 2000 Ravens. They were mid but stepped it up come postseason, Eli definitely did his part
@@TreWimsical holy shit I just checked and the pats had the number one scoring offense that year you Claude. 36.8 pts per game yeah that giants defense did the unthinkable but they are just whatever. People are ridiculous when they need to reshape logic to fit their narrative.
@@TreWimsical all this does is prove my point that eli was carried by an incredible defensive performance and also that football is a team sport. One player doesn't win games, the team does.
I thought this was 2011 playoffs when Giants got their revenge and smoked the 15 1 Packers. Refs tried to help the Packers with BS calls and Giants still blew them out.
