We gotta write a song about people dragging the war out their way by now, they still believe they got a chance in hell out here in seatlle, come back with devildriver, just an option
I swear to god Billie mike and tre are gonna be making albums and doing live performances at 99. These people are actual gods. Give them a medal for god sake.
I remember when this song came out and my dad would bring me down into the living room to come sing (scream) it with him. He died in May 2017 so listening to it is an experience. Thank you for continuing to make songs he enjoyed until the very end. Forever daddy's little psycho!
I'm so sorry I lost my mom January 1st 2016 I miss her everyday some days it hits hard my mom and I were in target one day and actually met Billie Joe took pictures with him I was only 9
Hank Hill Enough said. Trè is a beast dude. So excited to see Green day when they tour, the last time I saw them was at Soundwave back in 2014 in Adelaide. That was also the first time I saw them XD
Rock and Punk is coming back this year! Blink-182, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Descendants, Green Day, and even Gorillaz and Paramore! (Oh wait that's next year)
After 3 years of not listening to these guys, this is what they're producing? Terrible. Terribly amazing! God, I need more Green Day. This is actually really amazing.
***** I guess you are right. I have a problem with changing people. I want things to stay the same, i want the happy days to not end. I'm still trying to deal with it :(
Yeah, i know, it's like Green Day were 2000 lightyears away from us. I thought they were going to Jinx it, but Good Riddance! They came back with a Bang. I hated those Brats that said "It's Redundant to wait for new Green Day music". I always thought they were Basket Cases that needed to Fuck Off and Die. They were the Minority anyways. But now they are super hyped for the new album. What a bunch of Walking Contradictions. Boom! A paragraph filled with Green day songs. Try to find them all.
I have listened to a Green Day song every single day from the age of 6 (now 18) as every single family member of mine is a Green Day fan, we even go on family days out to their concerts haha. I was in a doctors appointment when this song came out and I actually asked the doctor to wait so I could listen to it because I was that excited to hear it, I ended up being the 8th person to watch this video. I have never been so in love with a celebrity/band, I've had the chance to meet so many celebrities but I honestly couldn't care less about any of them other than Green Day, I'm so proud of how far they're come and I'm so grateful to live in a time where Green Day exists, and I'm especially thankful to my 2 awesome parents who brought me up listening to them. Long live the Kings!!! Really don't know why I felt the need to write that soppy paragraph
Don t worry i understand you, i m 18 too and my dad introduced me to them when I was young, I ve never seen them live I nearly did 3 years ago I hope they will do a concert near where I live. Long live the king ! ;)
+Evan Debons last time I saw them I was 10 and someone threw a cup of piss at me, cried the whole concert because I was soaked but it was still good haha, I hope they tour again too, hopefully this time around I won't cry if I take an involuntary golden shower or even better if I don't have to take one at all hahaha
+Rizzeo can confirm, got to see them in April, 2013... Mindblowing, but most of the audience didn't know their new stuff :( Still fun being the only person in your section belting it out to the Uno/Dos/Tre tracks ;)
Even if you're not into metal, I'd advise you to listen to Rob Halford from Judas Priest... Mostly from recent concerts. The man is 66 years old and still has unbelievable power to his voice! (FYI: Not dissing Billie Joe at all, I'm just saying that age alone often don't have much impact on the voice of someone... Sickness might do however)
@@mygreenchemicalpanicatthes2570 Its a joke about how the beginning is super low so everyone turns their volume up all the way and probably shoves their earphones into their ears all the way
Was never a Green Day fan 'till I saw them live few weeks ago at KROQ acoustic christmas.. legendary band completely deserves to be in the rock n roll hall of fame =P
I don’t know about you guys, but this song is so nostalgic to me. I wasn’t a big fan of Green Day’s recent albums but, man, is Revolution Radio a thing of its own; in short, I love it. It sounds like I’ve gone back in time.
So it IS possible. A band CAN rediscover their roots, and produce something of absolute quality, without it sounding like repetition, nostalgia or a cash-in. Nice job, Green Day!
No offense Justin. But as someone who has listened to every Green Day album religiously since 1039/Smooth, this is more St. Jimmy than Walking Contradiction. Still awesome though!!
I mean 4 years is a while for a release but I wasn't meaning to say it like that. I was just saying it due to Billie Joe's return from Rehab, Mike's wives Breast Cancer and Jason's Throat Cancer. So I think they deserve a "welcome back" dude chill out..
2019 and it's still a banger Edit: 2020 and it's still a banger Edit: 2021 and it's still a banger Edit: 2022 and its still a banger Edit: 2023 and i've grown up from Green Day Edit: 2024 It's all about AIC NOW BABY 💪
For all those people saying "green day isn't punk ,didn't have a good album since 1992". Punk is ultimate freedom of creativity and thought in rock 'n roll ;not a cookie cutter loud ,fast aggressive sound. Punk preaches non-conformity but a band has to conform to a cookie cutter punk sound to be a punk band, you're hypocrites.
I don't think he's referring to Green Day specifically. Just with pop radio filled with some annoying performers, Green Day bursts back on to the scene.
if they will still put some fucking JB or 1D few years old shits on the radio and not this masterpiece i will come there and kick every goddamn pop asshole in the throat
I think the lyric "I have a fever for violent behavior" is a reference to the "1 minute" thing, since it shows the deer thing smashing the guitar, if it is nice touch it funny! :D
+Steven Seagull i dont know what's your definition of being back but for me it means putting out new music again as a band with the same name, whoever is in it.
I love this song. It's one of my favorite Green Day songs, and I'm an old school fan. It's also one of the songs that got my friend into Green Day. They did great with this album, hands down.
It is nice for a song to really get into deep topics, like shooting. My cousin in Toronto was shot and it is nice to see a band not try to be some pop band making trap beats and autotuned singing about love ,yet you do not feel any emotion or connection besides boredom and just disgust. Thanks Green Day
@@thatoneweeb9073 he died. Forgot that part. Thanks for replying. The rock community is not just edgelords or satanists, just people who live and die. Smile and cry. That's why I love the community.
Shannon Crawford Not fake. But a lot of people pissed at their recent albums saying they 'Sold out' and lost their identity. I was not one of those people. But this song sounds like older stuff, just a bit
+Junaid Mohammed dude if anything they sold out at the end of 1993 which after they did they created one of the best albums of all time in Febuary 1994
Those that say this sucks are either only fans of American Idiot, Uno, Dos, Tre, and 21st century breakdown albums. The other is the fan of the old Green Day when they were more punk like insomniac, Nimrod, and Dookie, or Kerplunk-- you get the point. Old vs. New. I personally love love all of Green Day, a lot of their old stuff but their new songs (newer) had me surprised and I actually really liked them. This is a mixture of old and new I feel and I'm just happy to learn all the words to yet another GD song. Keep at it boys! 😍
tbh I'm not a huge fan of their older songs. i feel like they're just too simple and don't have as much depth to them. It was beginners music. Uno, Dos, Tre was okay. Dookie was pretty good. But I love how you said that this is a perfect mixture of the old and the new. I couldn't have worded it better
well lets see... Pokemon was most popular from 1997-2000, and 2016 Blink-182's only no*1 albums hit the top in 2001, and 2016 The Clintons combined were presidential candidates in 1992, 1996, 2008 and 2016 Green Day released songs in the years 1990, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2000, 2004, 2009, 2012, and 2016 The only year they all have in common is 2016 it's 2016...
Before Revolution Radio came out, I would’ve never thought I’d love music and guitar as much as I do today. Thank you Green Day for being apart of my life
Years from now this song will take me back to being a junior in college, unsure what to do with my future, thinking of all the mass shootings happening during that time, and listening to this in the student center while eating lunch/dinner. 2016 was a weird year, much like 2020.
(Yeah, this new stuff isn't too bad, but I would guess that them sucking ass for years attributes to me not hating on them kind of going back to their roots, which I also never really liked either, but was a hell of a lot better) LOL
