This was the best night for Rachael she has the guitar at home with a book to remind her of the show that she will Never forget she been a green day fan since she was old enough to buy their cds completely in love thank you for all ur positive comments and likes it's the best night of my life xxx
monique burrows I'm so glad that she has the guitar and book, it's been wonderful watching the video and it's a great memory for Rachel and also for the crowd . well done Rachel and thanks to Green day for doing such a wonderful gesture.
Billie Joe Armstrong you are an amazing person. You showed compassion and patience for Rachel which brought tears to my eyes as I have a daughter with a life limiting condition and to see someone as famous and talented as Billie Joe to take the time in what was an amazing concert is truly GREAT. I was there and we had a brilliant time looking forward to Hyde Park in July.
I had the pleasure of meeting him in person when I used to work in a venue backstage ... he is a true gentleman he's the most down to earth person and he's so sweet all the time . Doesn't matter who he's talking to he's a genuinely good guy ! I wish my son when he gets older he looks up to this man,.
this made me tear up. I have a nephew who autistic, It always brings warmth to my heart seeing acts of kindness like this. green day is an incredible group of individuals
Hi Kenny, I am also Autistic and I have loved Green Day since I became old enough to listen to their CD’s. I am now 17 and they are still my favourite band
How many other big celebrities do you think would do this? Billie, Mike and Tre have always come across as genuinely good people who cafre about their fans and other people. They haven't let fame or money get to their head, they just want to have fun. I love Green Day!
That was such a sweet thing for Billie Joe to do, he guided her all the way through the song to play the guitar. Billie Joe is the man, he’s such a sweet and down to earth guy. I saw them in concert on Friday March 10th in Duluth GA and it was the best night of my life. I've been a massive Green Day fan all my life and it was my first time seeing them in concert. It turned out to be even greater than how I imagined it to be, love all of them so much. I hope I get to see them again one day! I'm also hoping that they'll go on tour again after this one without leaving all us fans hanging until they release another album. There's nothing wrong with them doing that, even rockstars need a break sometimes! lol. But fantastic show that night, ¡vi va la Green Day!
Billy Fusco Jr. No way! That’s so awesome. That show that night was honestly breathtaking, it was so fantastic. What’s the chances of you finding this comment and saying you were at the same show, so crazy haha. Sorry about the really late reply bye haha.
See, folks, this is one of the many, many reasons why Green Day are fucking legends. Man, got tears in my eyes watching this. Billie Joe is a fucking legend.
Billie hugs her. Gently takes her by the hand and helps her sit down. This is one of those moments you just wanna shake a guys hand and say, " I was right. You are a good man dude!"
I was there that night, I was just behind Rachel in the seats behind her... now I know you'll all say well of course you thought he pointed at you... but to me, my dad and everyone who was sitting around me that night they all thought he was pointing at me...That night was one of the best and most disappointing nights of my life... I've been playing guitar since I was 11... I've been in love with green day since I was 5. That night was my first green day concert.... I was waving to him like crazy when he was asking for someone to come up on stage... I had a banner saying I can play knowledge on guitar and everything.. now don't get me wrong I was very happy for Rachel and I'm sure she deserved it much more than I did. But that night when Billie saw my banner and waved at me I was so excited and happy and I couldn't believe it was me who had been chosen. In the spur of the moment I decided to jump the barrier in front of me which had about a 10 ft drop below it. I landed stood up and ran the wrong way... now if I had of run the right way I would of been up on that stage living my dream... but as I turned around to run the right way a steward grabbed me to check I was ok because I had just practically just fallen 10ft... in the video you hear Billie say... "no no no" that's when Rachel got up and started walking... he was saying that because he could see I was being held back from coming onto the stage because they needed to see if I was alright. You then see Rachel walking towards the stage.. what you don't see is me crying my eyes out and walking back to my seat to watch the rest of the concert. Thank you all for reading my comment and knowing what happened that night.. if you check out my channel it explains this night in more detail... the video is called "story time, the night I almost met Billie joe Armstrong." Thanks again... I really hope in July when I see them in Hyde park I might get my chance to meet them finally ❤️❤️have a nice day everyone ❤️ P.S In no way am I trying to take this amazing experience away from Rachel or make it seem like she didn't deserve it.... I just wanted you all to know what actually happened that night. ❤️ thanks again.
This just warms my heart! My 7-year-old brother has autism and can't talk so I totally understand how hard can be. We need more people like Billie in this world!
I've tried to write a comment a hundred times but nothing can come close to how I feel watching this. This is just beautiful. Everything about this. This band is freaking amazing, I'm so proud of her she is the true star on that stage. I am crying and I rarely do. This really meant a lot to me, who's also been struggling with coming to grips of my own disability. Feeling I can't be out there, because I always feel I'm taking up too much space. This is an inspiration on many ends, to just live your life. And while rare, there's still really good people out there, like Billie.
I don't know who disliked this, but those people are the ones that are really disabled! This was just amazing and shows how much of a heart Billie joe has unlike most of humanity.
I'm going to see them in March when they come to Michigan, I've always been a big fan of them but this is my first concert. Seeing things like this make me even more happier, I'm on the Autism spectrum and the band showed that they have a kind heart which I always knew they did. They are accepting and embrace everyone disabled gay straight Muslim whatever. I'm not speaking for other bands, but I've seen videos in which the artist isn't so understanding, Example Kanye West Thanks for sharing this I can not wait until March 27th.
Im seeing them on April 30th im so pumped up, I cannot wait :) This isnt the first time that they have had a Disabled person on stage, but every time they have one up it brings a tear to my eye, seeing how genuine and nice someone so famous could be, its not something most Bands/Singers do these days, Everytime i hear a live version of a Green Day song it gives me Goosebumps its quite amazing really
That's the thing, I don't understand why they get so much hate it's constantly I see them getting hated on. I mean sure they aren't hard core punk anymore like they where back in the day but still they are awesome, I mean when they play live they play live, No back track no lip syncing They play 100% Live. And I've been seeing people on other feeds complain about them dissing Trump and being to political but I believe Punk was always Political. Didn't the Ramones have a few Political songs? Another thing I respect about them is they can put on a long show and keep the energy. Not to many bands can sing 100% Live for 2 hours straight and still sound good, I mean I play music for fun and I do open mics and by the 3rd song I'm tired. I guess people are right when they say Billie never ages, he's in his late 40's and looks like he's 30 and has the energy of a 10 year old. Now the Uno Dose Tres albums where not their best I'll give you that but they certainly didn't suck. I think they should play the Super Bowl they would be fantastic. Oh and the saxophone Jason Freeze is amazing certainly adds a new flair to Punk pop rock music.
after almost 30 years...countless shows and banking millions of dollars....GREEN DAY still shows we're all still human, and never forget the fans, who made their dreams reality. this vid just gave me hope, that there is still love and good in the world. thx guys!!
Billie Joe one of kind human being and nice person and family Man I was blowing away to see disability people to get chance play with green day and Billie, amazing I got learning disability I been playing guitar for 11 years now my dream to play with Green day one day.
Hi James, my name is Jake, I am 17 years old and watching and listening to Tre got me into drumming, I am now drummer of the band at my college. I love being in the band with my friends from my BTEC music group who were also in my form back at high school. We have me on drums, Reece on guitar (strum patterns and solos), Sam on bass guitar, Georgia on guitar (chords only) and Kieron on vocals
I also have Autism and I used to struggle a lot but Green Day’s music really helped me to get over my struggles. The first ever GD album I had was a borrowed copy of American Idiot from my older sister
This is so great. Any dislikes on this are obviously jealous losers. Green Day rock and it's very noble of them to do something like this for their fans. I love it. Super psyched for Rachel haha! She must've been ecstatic up there playing!
That made my day and I want Rachael to strive to become even better at playing than she was in 2017. Love everything about this video and I wish Rachael the best of luck with her guitar playing and I hope she peruses it later in life.
I just now noticed that Billie is playing the chords for her whilst singing. That is talent. Lord, I could never play the guitar sideways and sing at the same time.
I was at this concert, and all these years later, I still feel like Green Day are just guys having fun. They've never boasted their celebrity status nor acted like dicks. I got into them when I was in uni and still love them
I liked 2-4 songs of green Day but looking at his videos where he so warmly interacts with his fans man I gotta say they're a bunch of good people. Love and respect for green Day.
And this is exactly why Green Day have been in my life for over 25 years now and every lyric relates to my life and I hang on every word in my heart and mind. I’ve seen them live 10+ times and they are just amazing 💙
Me & my son we’re there that night. Such an amazing gig topped off with a fantastic gesture by a true gentleman. We were drinking beer all day and that as a parent still managed to bring tears to my eyes & has done again watching this morning. That memory will stay in my mind forever but Rachael will relive it every day👍👍👍👍👍 well don green day🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Billie joe is amazing! I don’t know why anyone would hit the dislike button on this video. To the 24 people who did at the time that I watched it, what are you doing? What a great video.
5SOS tried it but most there fan's didn't know how to play or were just like rude kinda of at least from video's i've seen they tried it during there first tour and they didn't do it at all during the 2nd tour. so yea and one time a fan ignored all of them went straight to the drum's it was a pretty douche thing to do tbh as a fan and like for the band
not really they really dont suck you just mad cause you mad or they opened up for one direction but there not like most boybands there not even a boyband there a BAND :O
i've seen them live sooo.... yea there a band they weren't forced to open up for 1D they weren't on a label at that point in time they got asked and took the opportunity to build there fan base
big time rush was a TRUE boyband 1D was more of a singing group i saw 5SOS live they didn't use a backing track... and they only had 2 guitarist micheal and luke and calum bass ashton drum's last time i checked that's a band so just cause they all sing and write songs doesn't make them a boy band....and they have a few male fans hell only reason there fan base is girls is cause they opened up for 1D
