+TreDrummer13 green day's american idiot is an amazing album, not because of the songs like wake me up when september ends, boulevard of broken dreams and american idiot, but because of all the other songs. Songs like Holiday, she's a rebel, jesus of suburbia and so on, which are much bigger when you start listening to them, I guess that's what all of us wanted to express ;). I can't get enough of them since more than 10 years, since I bought this album in spring 2005 when I was only 12 years old :D
I always like how they communicate, it’s amazing especillay when your excited you can start forgetting like when to stop and when not too but they have that perfect balance.
+Oscar Hallgren During the iHeartRadio performance (Yes, the one with Billie's breakdown) He starts doing little dances and stuff during American Idiot. It was quite funny to see, even if Billie being drunk as fuck kind of ruined the performance.
+AdamPlays Music yea, especially despite him playing the guitar throughout. Billie stops whenever he feels like but he has to continue and he plays most of the solos while Billie just jumps around.

its so strange and time flies so fast....... back in 1990s these were just some punk brats with simple three chord songs and simple anthems to sing but now the same little basterds are nominated for the rock and roll hall of fame and one of the biggest bands workin on planet THIS IS FUCKIN AWESOME............
Billie consistently performed anywhere from buzzed to wasted for years. I was always impressed that he could still play and sing well even when drunk. But when I was watching his infamous iHeartradio show live that day, right away I knew he had crossed a line. He was so fucked up (on god knows what besides booze) that he couldn't even play his goddamn guitar properly and his singing sounded awful which is not like him. Once his problem started affecting his musicianship it was time to cut it out.

When I listen to My Chemical Romance, I feel sympathy, or pumped. When I listened to Black Veil Brides I feel like screaming and shouting (In a good way). When I listen to Green Day, I feel at home. I just get this happy, warm feeling that just makes me smile. Before I knew who they were, when I was about 3, I listened to them and loved them and still do. They always make me feel just, happy. They're like comfort songs. I don't know why, they just bring back the nostalgic feeling of joy :)
Green Day are like every young teenage kid's gateway drug of a band to heavier rock music, I grew up listening to like Nirvana, Metallica, Black Sabbath then one day my dad gave me the American Idiot album and the rest was history, was also a mix of Green Day and Nirvana that I discovered Foo Fighters and they're one of, if not my favourite band of all time then from there I got into Linkin Park (RIP Chester) and like Killswitch Engage and stuff then I discovered Trivium when I was like 16 and they've been my favourite metal band ever since

That is a gross exaggeration, plenty of great singers out there who can sing live just like the record. Not taking anything away from him though. Just saying, "one of the few" would have been a better choice than "the only".
This performance makes me really happy, they're so energetic, as if they really want to be there, that's not the case for all rock bands who last this long. Green Day showed what they're made of!
2012-13 was probably worst period in green day carrer for eg -bad albums,rehab etc when bad times come all the bullshit gets stacked together...........
Matthew Henry yeah but man one thing is that now this is pop dominated era and radio so even a good album might not have been sufficient therefore trilogy had good music many songgs have great guitar work like early rock and roll but trilogy failed due to LACK OF PROMOTION NOT MUSIC (iheartradio incident happended 1 week before unos release ,still uno had nice acclaim and a great bunch of singles...............
The whole American idiot album makes me emotional af! And it is the greatest album by Green Day by far. And the three best songs on there 3. Jesus of Suburbia 2. Letterbomb 1. Whatsername and those are just my opinions but, that album I can relate to. And it all gives me an emotional breakdown. Green Day is the best band ever!!!!
You know what Billie, these are the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame awards, and you really shouldn't have said fuck that many times. But you know what, AWESOME SHOW!
Did you hear how loud the crowd was during the breakdown? They aren't going to mosh but they did contribute, I don't think any band could have gotten the crowd as loud as Green Day did. This is probably one of their best performances ever.

THE FACT THAT GREEN DAY GOT INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME IN 2015 IS AMAZING :) THIS IS A TRUE PUNK ROCK BAND THAT TURNED THE RULES OF POPULAR MUSIC UPSIDE DOWN BACK IN THE 1990S AND INTO THE 2000'S , THEY DESERVED IT

I learned something! :P Point of irony concerning Chester: News were released that while The Hunting Party was going to sound more like LP originally had, Chester wouldn't be screaming as much as he'd used to, because he was damaging his vocal cords (as we all know). The *ironic* part is that when THP was released, Chester screamed more in it than in even Meteora. I do wonder if he's bleeding yet from the strain.

Green day was a last minute thing, which explains why they are dressed informally Tre didn't have time to pack his whole drumset, so Guns n Roses let him use theirs
+Blink - Productions I remember seeing that guitar Billie used on eBay a couple of weeks after that performance. The story goes, from the guitar tech that night and the guy who ended up selling it, was they didnt have a guitar with P90s so he had to run down to a GC and buy that Junior Special off the rack. It was supposed to be loaned for the night but Billie strapped pink tape all over it so it wouldnt come off and then threw it at the end of the performance. He had no further use for it so sold it on ebay. Well and truly made his money back plus some. So that explains why none of them had their gear that night.
