Green Ghost 

In the comic he said he found both a blue and a green one at a store, and while he really wanted to get the blue one (cuz blue is his thing) he got both and gave Jade the blue one (because in his opinion it was the better one). So John wearing the shirt with the green ghost and Jade having the shirt with the blue symbol signifies how good friends they are.

While John isn't my favorite beta kid(That spot goes to Jade), I feel like he's massively underrated. In a session full of overpowering players he stands out as the unbiased, calm, and flexible leader who's able to work with just about everything. He's grounded, optimistic, and friendly: roles that the B1 session really needed. I honestly think their session would have gone much worse if he hadn't been there to balance things out, and I really like him as a character.

Good fandoms don't die. They ascend to god tier.

I love this song so much, it's so beautiful and bright. Light and airy, but at the same time, very subdued. Definitely a main character's theme, and perfect for John. But it also makes me sad, because it has John's main theme in it, which is one of the most reoccurring melodies in the entire soundtrack, and after watching Collide and Act 7, it's just a reminder that I'll never get to hear it again.

so theres a dip in the song from 5:22 to 5:27 and then it goes back to the guitars and stuff so i guess you could call 5:28 onwards, the song's *second wind*

It's been months since Homestuck ended, and I still refuse to leave this fandom. I've sold my soul seven years ago when it all began and I will not leave this fandom.

honestly i can't explain the level of nostalgia i feel listening to this song. It used to be my alarm during highschool. Sure Homestuck is cringe i get it, but the soundtrack folk (Toby Fox and all others) together with all the artists that worked on the last acts were the real legends.

I guess I'm one of those post-Homestuck fans... But, in every Homestuck fans, the webcomic & the fandom never died even after 4/13, and it god-tiered. Good to see a fandom like that. Remembering their favorite thing in their hearts even though it's all over.

With how unforgivingly melancholic and realistic the comment section is being, let me just tell you, my fellow fans of this experience we call Homestuck, that no matter if it ends nor if it doesn't, it has been a good ride and that's all there is to it. Don't look at an adventure and mainly focus on the goal on the opposite end, but at the ways and means you had to do to get there. I'm fairly certain that for the fans, the end of the game wasn't the thing they wait for, nor the death of Jack or Lord English or The Condesce, it was really just how all these characters do what they *would* do in that situation and even if they have faults that's what really makes us love them so much more. The ships, the art, the music, and the time spent on reading or watching all the panels and events the story has been spent not in vain, I assure you. It was never truly the destination, it was the journey you experienced to get there.

coming back to homestuck now, almost feels surreal 2020 will mark 7 years after i first read it... i miss the old days i really do we were so laid back and did whatsver we thought was fun, i miss it i miss being cringe... i miss being a kid... i miss my home...

When Homestuck ends, we will all be crying over it, not only because it will most likely be emotional, but that we know there will never ever be anything like Homestuck for the rest of our lives. Eventually over the course of months we'll be mostly over it, Andrew will have started a brand new adventure, and the fandom... will die. It's so tragic that this little comic can be sad and happy, funny and serious, ridiculous and complex and simple, and just all together charming all at once. There may never be another fandom as deficated and diverse as us, but we can always look back at our little ghost-loving hero and his adventures through a beautifully written and drawn story. When Homestuck ends, our lives will seem empty, until something or someone else comes along to fill that gap. And it may just be the main character of MS Paint's new adventure. I commend you, all of you crazy awesome fans, for being the best fandom I've ever been in. ♡

"Is John happy?" "No."

This is one of my favorite songs in this album. Not because it's a freaking awesome song (though that helps), but because of how PERFECTLY it matches John. So much of it fits in with his character! There is so much freaking symbolism in this. Parts of the song seem to sound similar to "How can I live without you?" showing John's love for Nic Cage, and I think the electric guitar instrumental in it symbolizes Vriska's involvement, as that's her signature instrument. It could also stand for Jade being his sibling (She also has a badass guitar). There's just so many feels in this song.

This gives me chills. It reminds us how far John has gone through ever since he was 13. He lost people in the way but that only made him stronger.

I got hella confused when I read the comments about John, I thought "Green is Jade's colour though!" Then it hit me... John's god damn logo...the green ghost...

This song always helps remind me, whenever I'm feeling down, that I can do it. Thanks Homestuck, I can't believe it's been five and a half years that I've known you.

Everyone says Homestuck godtiered. But what is it's title? I'm guessing it is the direct inversion of Hussie's title: The Waste of Space.

Oh dear god I miss Homestuck so much.

A young man stands in his bedroom, he casually stares out his window, watching the currents rustle the leaves of a tree. Not knowing that in the near future that he himself would guide free wind.

I love this so so much holy shit. This was the first Homestuck album I listened to and it brings back so many memories. I love this album.

If Hussie's smart enough, he's gonna keep this fandom alive longer than you think. We still have until January of next year until his little pattern of updates ends, and the webcomic probably still won't be over by then. There's still a Homestuck Adventure Game, and possibly a game following that. And finally, I wouldn't be that surprised if he made and entirely other webcomic just focusing on the dancestors and ancestors. So, alas my fandom, there is hope in our survival. We may not last forever, but we're going out like that :)

Many people in the comments are talking about how sad it is that Homestuck ended, but my thought process is "Anyone gonna talk about this melancholy tune being one of John's themes?" I'm glad to hear some of the more emotional soundtracks that are attributed to him, especially considering that he's my favorite character.

I feel like in joining this fandom a year or two after it ended, I just missed out on something beautiful. It kinda makes me sad to think about all the fantastic content I'm just beginning to discover being from a now-forgotten era.

I'm...actually crying? I got hit by way too many emotions at once during this song, most stemming from nostalgia.

I keep coming back to this song and everyone saying homestuck god tiered but yet all those comments being at least 2 years ago makes me sad, it really does.

Listen I know people in the comment section might seem to be talking illogically but when you think about it, they aren't being foolish or illogical at all. Some of them are sad because the idea that homestuck might end is luring in, some of them are trying to make a point against each other. Think about it, we live in our own game. A simple time loop that keeps going on and on, maybe it's not so simple. Maybe you play a game of life, roll a dice and move on, and when you reach the end of the game, the end of your life, you end the game, and you start a new one. Maybe you do all that but except for starting a new game you stop playing all together, this could be the afterlife. What i'm trying to say is, homestuck is a part of our lives, it's not a disease, it's not a walk in the park. The amount of people who act like homestuck ruins your life... they're wrong. Oh how the mighty fall.

Homestuck brought me so many memories, friendships, emotions, tears, dedication that I'll never forget. I'll never forget how much Homestuck meant to me, even though it's been years since I actually read it and eventually I will come to go years without thinking about it. I think things would be very different if Homestuck never existed. Even though it's stopped being the thing I think about most and obsess over, I will never ever forget it, and I'll always have parts of it and my memories with me.

All those in the comments seem to be lamenting the inevitable end of this wondrous webcomic, so I believe I should say something. I'm by no means a longstanding reader. I started during the break for the She's 8ack update, and caught up maybe a month or two before the release of Vriskagram. But I'm proud to say that I have been a part of this fandom. While I know few readers personally, I've never met such a quirky and insanely amusing group of fans, and I'm glad to say that I've loved every bit of this webcomic. And while this integral part of our lives must inevitably end, to live on in our memories, I am confident in saying this: This Fandom Will Never Die. Whether we simply remember, or enjoy the music the comic has given us, or chat about the good times we had, I am sure it will never disappear. Like all great works of art, it shall live on. ALL STAND, LAUGH AND CRY SIMULTANEOSLY. WE ARE THE HOMESTUCKS. WE SHALL NEVER DIE.

It's intriuging how his first stories started out from simple things then grew into a full story and then he took it into an even bigger level. I can't wait to see how awesome his NEXT story will be!

Man just coming back to this... It's so nice. This stupid web-comic has been on my mind for years, because of all of the memories and concepts. I hide my drawings of grey teenagers, and relate to all those jerks- This web-comic feeds my creativity and inspires me, and I'll never forget that...

I only recently joined the HOMESTUCK fandom, but I don't regret it at all. I'm so glad that I found it. It allowed me to meet all sorts of beautiful people like me, and the comic was a masterpiece in and of itself. Thank you HUSSIE, for everything. One day, a young girl woke up to existence. Although born with some knowledge, all she really knew was her creator, the first thing she had seen when she opened her eyes, the man she called father. He was her world, the one who had made her, so she naturally believed that her purpose was to serve him. He taught her, and she did as she was told, not knowing the dark secrets her master was keeping from her, or the deeds she did were for evil. She was given a task, and she performed it. The task, however, had planted doubts in her mind. In seeking answers, she stumbles on the truth. Her whole existence, a mistake. She was a prototype, a failure, not meant to exist. He had lied to her, manipulated her! She confronted him, only to be answered with more lies. And she believed them, not wanting the alternative truth. But in the end she saw the other side of her so-called 'father'. She saw the real him. And in the process, she unlocked the real her. She made a stand for herself and switched sides. She joined the boy she had helped capture. He was, in a way, related to her, for they shared the same ghostly power, the same DNA. He was the one she was supposed to have been a copy of. With his help, they defeated the villain, and she made her escape. And thus she wandered. But the experience had left her drained and unstable. She began falling apart and eroding away. With fading strength, she made it to the place of the boy, one person who might have a chance of saving her, only to be captured by one of her father's pawns. The hunter had set her free, only for her to find out that it was a trap to capture her and the savior she had sought. She was once again in the evil man's clutches. With her back against the wall, and her hands and feet tied, her death began. Pain seared through her as her power, her very life, was being melted down. Somehow, the boy she had come for help had escaped, and had made the hunter side with him to defeat the villain. After disappearing into darkness, he saved her and she rose again! Restored and stable, she finished the fight a flew into the night. But the tyrant still haunted her in her dreams. Living in fear, she traveled around, trying not to think of it. But still, she was alone. She could never go back as long as he was around. She was completely alone, lost, with nothing but the regret of what she was and her mistakes. No one could know about what and who she really was. No one could know of the power that she had. She had to hide and could never come out. She had nothing and was nothing. Just when all seemed lost, she found hope. She found a new and unexpected friend, who led her to an even more unexpected family. She had found a home where she could be free to be herself. Her mistakes still haunted her though, and she secretly continued to doubt her humanity. In time though, her new family helped lift her up. They taught her, guided her. She found that she wasn't alone! Everything she had thought about herself was wrong and she began to live again! She learned to let go of the past and for the first time in her short life, she moved forward. With her friends by her side, she knew that she was strong. With her powers, and the powers of those beside her, she continued to rise. She flew higher and higher, protecting those she loved, for she had been given a second chance. She continued to learn, she continued to love, and she continued to live. And she will continue to do so, for as long as time shall stand.

The kids have all changed so much since the beginning... this song reminds me that, even though they are gods now who have met aliens and fought many a battle, they still are just regular kids...doing their best to survive any and all obstacles thrown at them.

The story is almost over. But even so, it will forever go on in our hearts. The characters may die, but to us they live forever. Through every plot twist and killing, we stand together as a family, brought together by this comic.. No, now it can't even be called that any longer. This is a novel, a movie, a game, a legend. And so it will be for as long as it is remembered and loved. Thank you Andrew Hussie for giving us this masterpiece. It will never be forgotten
