@@gherve222 By forgetting your humanity! (Edit) are you serious though? You can use their parts on as fire, much easier than hunting lol though I believe there is some kind of negative effect to it not sure to be honest.
@@KingZealotTactics you will lose a very small amount of hp (a bit more in hard mode), when consuming parts of cannibals. But except that, it will only decrease your sanity, wich has no negative effect at all and even lets you unlock some new buildings
Green Hell is cozy as hell. Once you get the initial hurdles of food/water/shelter it gets very easy and will stay easy if you take it slow. I beat it on permadeath mode and have been playing it on sandbox on and off as my relaxation game. Wish it had updates faster tho.
I love the survival craft. Both games live comfortably next to each other in my library. I think the main difference is the enemies. The forest is very much a raid survival where you have to keep up with the enemies and they may eventually overpower you. John. It’s a horror survival. Green hell is very much you vs the world. The enemies are considerably minor when you could walk into a snake, spider, or jaguar and one shot all of them. But it’s the boulder of survival, once you lose your momentum it’s very easy to die to infection or lose of sanity, which is a very loose concept in the forest. So in conclusion, same genre, similar story inclusion, but very different paths of gameplay
@@tonecyphers9239 not that difficult, keep away from illness, eat a snack or some fresh food, when you light a fire stay near it while your stuff cooks. Illnesses and rotten food always bring it down as well as passing out. Human food ie chips and orange juice etc, give you a good boost and staying near fires and in base keeps it up. When your sanity is low you’ll get attacked by not real tribesman for a short period of time but I believe that’s the only side affect
@@sandstormgaming806 I don’t know if you’ve tried it yet, but there’s a survival builder game by Funcom called Conan Exiles, it’s a very good game in my opinion. If you like the forest and green hell you’ll like this one as well
Its the creepy mutants that turned me away from the forest a bit. Kind of ruined the survival aspects when a creature with six legs comes over and destroys your base. I dont mind the cannibals as much
Dude, really? I don't know how does your base look like, but personally when I play this game on building destruction "on", I've still never had a problem with mutants or cannibals destroying my base. The only thing they destroyed was one lair of the defensive wall which costs five or six logs which is not a big deal. I used to play this game on building destruction off, but when I started playing the game on hard, I turned it on because it was how the game should be played. That's why the repair tool exists in this game. It also depends on where you build your base. The best place to build is in the fertile lands; it has less enemies, but I prefer to build on the hills near it. It's a perfect place to build a military village full of traps, animals, water, weapons, meds, and building and crafting materials.
For me green hell wasn't as appealing as the forest mainly because of the feel and look of the game. I love the survival challenge it provides the player with and the more realistic it is, but in terms of the graphics, animations and cutscenes it just feels awkward for me, I can't explain it. What I also love about the forest that is not talked about a lot, is that in times of peace in your base, deep in the forest or in the mountain you can feel through the screen and the outdated graphics some sense of comfort with the nature around you. Then you hear a loud scream and three mutants burst through your walls like it's paper, I get it, but I think that the violence in the game makes small moments of peace we all have through the game much more enjoyable. If you haven't been through this, try getting the pacifist achievement in which you can't kill enemies for 10 days
I’m not a fan of horror games so I got turned off by the forest. I thought this ain’t so bad then I get killed and dragged into a cave. I tried to escape and got attacked by cannibals, evil babies, some thing with a bunch of human legs. They ate me. I uninstalled after that. Nope.. I went back to Green Hell.
I mean if green hell came out a year after or before the forest id say it was better but if it more modern ofc its fonna be better just look at sons of the forest
Im thinking I'll like Green Hell more as the Forest just feels to much Scfi if it was like a realistic cannibal tribe hunting you down it be much more creepy.
I prefer the forest it’s more funny and you have a great time with friends compared to playing alone after awhile the mutants are more of an annoyance than scary it’s satisfying when you kill load of Canibles with traps and katanas . And also I don’t like graphics for green hell I played it almost all the way through but the survival aspect was cool but yet again not any fun fighting a poorly rendered crocodile with a shitty combat system over all I would recommended buying the forest at full price if not already on deal but I wouldn’t pay full price for green hell it doesn’t seem worth it but definitely on a good deal but if I had to choose between one or the other the forest takes the dub
ima just say the forest is a better survival game to start if your new green hell can be really counfusing expessially with some of the injurys [mb if i spell wrong]
green hell is far more realistic and far more build then both the forest and the sons of the forest reasson is you can get sicknesses and u can have a farm like a animal pen and everything, is way more completed then the forest would ever be so its no compersion i love both forest game with my life but green hell is just better!!! insteed of getting a yellow poisen bar that woukld go away after some painkillers or with time the sickness in green hell u actuelly need the right componoments to get healthy again u can also dies of bruises and cuts lacarechens or just feel asleep on the ground something the guy in the forest never does
@@sandstormgaming806 me to brah.. but so much other people hate on it beacuse it is just to hard and i can to degree agree in that...but the forest on hardcoremode is no joke either but thats hardcore or coustum hard normal mode green hell and normal mode the forest grenn hell is way overdue harder but in the end i like both games
Green hell is 10x more enjoyable imo, Played sons of the forest, felt more like an arcade game, while green hell felt more like a survival. Depends what you want If you want that hardcore survival game go green hell, you want an easier survival game go SOTF
Play the Forest...the first one. That blew people's minds with the cannibal ai and fear. Sons of the Forest was changed to be a shooter and multi-player friendly.
lol it is two seprated diffrent games green hell is survival mainly while the forest are horror mainly and survival and horror games are completely diffrent
