hey man if you like bois du portugal, check out Targhee Forest by Rogue....literally best description i can give is "this is what i wanted bois du portugal to smell like when i blind bought it". he uses real oakmoss and stuff, really amazing stuff and its like 1/3 the price because hes a homemade brand lol. p.s. all that said i already really liked BdP alot before i smelled the rogue

I think it's a fantastic scent I actually like the older batches a bit better. I find I prefer Himalaya & Viking over this one but all Creeds smell high quality, glad to see the channel hit 10k!

I have not tried Himalaya but Viking I thought was okay it smelled like a potpourri that my mom used when I was kid lol I’ll have to revisit it. Thank you so much for the support !

Clint Eastwood’s favorite cologne. Excellent review. I really like it, but waaaaaaay too expensive for me. I actually prefer Aspen over Cool Water, but Aspen is so weak I have drown myself in it.

Thank you for this review Kelan, my issue with purchasing anything by Creed is that the quality and actual fragrance itself is highly inconsistent with each batch they make. Now of course no designer or niche house is perfect when it comes to consistency but when we are talking about a single frag from this house that can run you up $300+, makes my wallet itch especially when you take into consideration all of the many many many designer houses making clones/dupes/interpretations of the same scent for a fraction of the price. Anyways just wanted to leave you with my perspective from another frag head.

Always will be in my top 5 from the brand. Profoundly nostalgic and different enough from CW for me to choose it over the Davidoff every time. I was there when Armaf's Tres Nuit came out, but I still contend that Rasasi's Egra is the best value clone of it made to date. Huge dose of dhm, but It nails the greenness like no other. Strange that Creed hasn't yet made a flanker of it actually. GIT Elixir? Please God No. 😂

the very first time I saw it instinctively I thought “that’s not the right bottle for the name” & now that they’ve released aventus absolu they’ve had to shrink that bottle to 75ml & shine it to a piano black to stand out from GIT. while we are on the subject i’m gona go ahead & say viking shouldn’t be orange. nothing about tough, winter warriors feels orange

lol yeah the red and orange for Viking and Viking cologne is odd as well, especially the orange the red gets a pass. GIT should be clear with the green logo like it used to be

Great review! I actually just wore GIT yesterday. I started with a bottle of Armaf's Tres Nuit but once I smelled legit GIT, I was hooked. The opening is killer and I really love the drydown. Performance is WAY better than the clones. I agree with the presentation not making sense. You have a bright, effervescent fragrance and then you put it in a bottle that conveys the antithesis of that. I'm wearing Royal Oud today, which I remember you got a sample of recently and were undecided on. Did you come around to it or decide it's not for you? Keep up the good work!

Yes I agree I had tres nuit first but I didn’t like it and would never go back to a clone or alternate at this point after having the real thing. Royal oud I actually got a bottle of and being able to spray a lot on at once compared to the small mini spritz of a sample really brings out the woodiness of the smell and its way less sweet so I have come to appreciate it now

i actually prefer coolwater to git. git has this particular very subtle onion-y smell that i detect and dislike that i dont get from coolwater. not that i wear coolwater very often anymore, just when im feeling nostalgic and want to transport back to my high school dances in the 90s lol. i just now sprayed git on my left and coolwater on my right bc of your vid ha. happy new year bud.

Howdy Kelan thanks for your honest review on this timeless green masculine classic . What are your thoughts on the cheaper clone alternative to this if you even tried called "Armaf Tres Nuit ". Think you can do a review on it I've gotten quite a few compliments on the original Creed GIT and the Clone curious too see what your thoughts are since you normally review cheaper vintage classy vintage gentleman scents thanks man greetings from Texas 🤠🧔🏻‍♂️🐎🐴🐮🐄🐃🐂🏜🌵

I had tres nuit a while ago I didn’t like the smell much so I gave it to my nephew, it didn’t smell anywhere near as good as GIT. I wouldn’t buy it again there would be no point since I have GIT now. thank you for watching and commenting David !

I love the fragrance and do own GIT… Problem is there are many clones or similar type fragrances that cost a fraction of the price… Which are very solid. Recommending this to others is hard when they can buy Armaf Tres Nuit or L’Adventure Knight for $25-$30.. Banana Republic Grassland is a slightly softer and sweeter take on the dna.. nice option. I even like Aspen by Coty… and Coolwater still. But i do love GIT…

How much did your view of the bottle presentation factor into your rating? Just curious because it astounds me how many people fixate on the bottle, when that's not what we carry around with us and show people when we sport this amazing scent.

Easily a top 10 of all time for me. Have an older 4.2 that is just a beast, the violet leaf and verbena really stand out, so much better than CW. No comparison at all for me. 👍🏻

i think alot of us love/loved green irish tweed so much that its played out at this point. i agree though about the differences to cool water. cool water to me smells like a $5 clone from a gas station compared to the real deal. that said the vintage was wayyyyy better, but i hear alot about people getting spoiled vintage creed so i never pulled the trigger

I've heard it several times: Why did they call it "Green Irish Tweed"? It's not a very green nor Irish scent. Maybe it's a miss spelling. It was suppose to be "Green Iris Tweed", maybe?

I still find value with Creed as I have for decades. People repeat the blown out of proportion talking points from their favorite RU-vidr or something they read on fragrantica. Creed still, even after two company acquisition processes, make amazing fragrances.
