Green leafy vegetables are the tender edible leaves consumed from a wide variety of cultivated herbaceous plant species. While there are many different types available, most share basic nutritional qualities with some unique characteristics specific to each variation. Chlorophyll-rich edible greens have healing and protective assets that help to cleanse the blood, balance body pH and are boosting for cognitive and immune functions.
Fresh raw greens additionally contain living enzymes and digestible proteins that are especially building for muscle and tissue strength when consumed on a consistent basis. They are one of the highest sources of dietary fiber which helps to normalize bowel movements and has shown to be beneficial for weight loss.

I get the giant bags of mixed leafy greens such as kale, chard and spinach. Like $5. Every morning and every evening I stuff my blender to the top with just these greens nothing else.. we’re talkin a giant amount.. I used to add orange juice but just started using carrot juice (less sugar) and blend it up and drink it down.. it’s not the best tasting drink but let me tell you, it has changed my life in every way.. not only do I go right to sleep after I drink it in the evening, my day is filled with positive and happiness. It’s insane what this can do for the body and brain... especially the brain. Natural antidepressant I’d say. I’ve never felt better in my life. Again, I don’t drink this drink for the taste, I chug it down for the MANY benefits I get out of it. Most people won’t do this if it doesn’t taste really good. Use the rest of yer day to eat things that taste better but take a few minutes out if yer day to chug down a whole blender of dark leafy greens.. after a few weeks of doing this, you’ll see what I’m talkin about.

Cool vid. Very comprehensive. Since you said Kale has copper in them, I might consider adding them back to my diet. We'll see...

One wild green that wasn't mentioned is known as wild spinach, lambs quarters, pigweed, goosefoot, or fat hen. There are many videos on RU-vid about finding and using it. It is one of the easier wild edible plants to find and identify.

Then God said: “Here I have given to you every seed-bearing plant that is on the entire earth and every tree with seed-bearing fruit. Let them serve as food for you And to every wild animal of the earth and to every flying creature of the heavens and to everything moving on the earth in which there is life, I have given all green vegetation for food.” And it was so

people can grow their own green herbs in a very small area. They are easy to grow and maintain. You can grow a variety of twenty herbs in a tiny area.
