A video showing the particular green watercolours that I use when working in my sketchbook. A video by illustrator Lis Watkins. These are my favourites but I am sure you may think differently! Let me know in the comments.
What are your favorite sketchbooks to work with? The pages look so nice and flat, even though you used watercolor. Im also really interested to see a video on your urban sketching kit! The process of deciding what youre taking with you. Love your content!❤
My favourite sketchbooks at the moment are the Beta series from Stillman and Birn. They have blue covers and you can get them in the UK from Jackson’s Art. I like them because the paper is very smooth and can take quite a lot of watercolour. I hope to make a video soon sharing what materials I take when sketching on location 😊
Thank you so much for sharing! I absolutely love your style. I usually work with ink first and then color it but you inspired me to go straight to painting. I feel the urge to go out into nature and paint right now.
What a treat to take a peek inside your sketchbooks. Your work is absolutely gorgeous. I appreciate seeing and hearing that you use five different shades of green. I'm going to have to get a larger palette so that I can try out some of the ones you've shown. Thank you for sharing, Lis.
I bought oxide of chromium based on your recommendation. Although I have terre vert I’m not entirely sure how to use it - yet. Such a treat to see all these sketchbooks. Thanks for sharing ❤
This was so inspiring! I need to play more with my greens. I tend to mix mines but I have a few gorgeous ready greens I don’t use much. Looking forward to warmer days to paint in the landscape. Btw I bought your zine but I was looking for a whole book, you should publish something on urban sketching, your style is gorgeous. ❤
