I'm listening on my phone speaker that's about the size of a bottle cap! There's some Mansquatch gristle there. Greg was a local guy from Milwaukee, I heard he was a monster for years but never saw him play. In 2008 I was lucky enough to see Greg open for Jeff Beck RIP It was an amazing evening of six string malfeasance and sonic skullduggery (if I may be so bold)
aw..... the way to start a sunday morning, getting churchified and and the reverends sunday gospel services sound good to me. oh Mr Organ Grinda' rock my soul, amen!
Astonishing and magnificent. Super clever with some sweet edges - but rolling down the middle of the road with class and finesse while remaining totally accessible musically. You bring a truly unique and lovely thing to the world of this jazzy-blues/bluesy-jazz. You are killing it!
Start with the first Koch Marshall Trio album. Track 2 & 3 are my favorites. The whole album rips. Then check out the live version of Welchz Grape with him and Jeff Kollman. Then go down the Kollman rabbit hole ;)
I love Greg, but the last time I saw him my ears were on the edge of bleeding. Too much volume and treble for the room size. I had to leave, I love my hearing more.
