The "perfect beard" is the best beard someone can grow that looks the best for them. Its not about how much hair covers your face. Its not that black and white.

objectively speaking, the best beard is the thick complete beard. nobody is talking about how some beards are better for certain people. the best beard is the one that is full. youre talking about subjective styles within faces. learn to see the difference. dummy bastard

I think the most important factor is how a beard supports your overall look regardless of whether it is thick or patchy. My beard idol as a teen was Dave Grohl. His beard isn't ernormously thick and has a few patches in places, but he looks so much better with it than without. It makes him look a lot more rock and roll.

Yeah and not everyone likes a full beard, i remember when i was a kid my beard idol was Trey songz he has a patchy beard and ofcourse at the time i didn't know much about facial hair all i knew is that it looked really good on him and i wanted it.

I have light colored (reddish blonde, some dark brown) facial hair that is patchy. What I do is I overgrow my moustache and grow the rest of my facial hair out. Almost like a beardstache. For some reason, it makes the rest of my facial hair stand out. It’s something I have seen the actor Ewan McGregor do as well, grow the moustache longer since he also has a light facial hair color.

Yea, i am definitely more like Johny Depp. I have 5 hairs on one side and maybe 7 hairs on the other cheek. But, the mustache and chin are much stronger! I might git it a try

Thats the most common pattern so you’re good to go, before my my lower lip filled in i used to make it into that pattern now it had filled in but lots of my friends tell me to trim it that way for some reason.😅

I started growing a beard two months ago specifically because I noticed the hottest guys in hollywood wear beards even though they are patchy AF. Gave me hope, big realization. Thanks for this video to serve as confirmation bias 😃

I'm 33 and have a beard that people think is full, but it's not, it's like a cross between the chris pratt & tom hardy, only managed to trim it once where I got compliments on how it looked but I've never been able to replicate it

Can barely grow hair at all on my cheeks, mustache isn’t super strong, but chin is decent. I tend to keep the Van Dyke for sure!

Hi greg would love to get a rating from u for my beard. its not that great but its the first time i let it grow out (26 years now) It came in rly late with like 23~ edit: Johnny Depp just fixes his beard with the glasses, insane to see how much the glasses benefits from the bears and the other way around.

The only facial hair that I can really grow is a thin mustache, sideburns and a thin goatee. I got nothing in the cheeks and nothing connects (I'm 18), I still hope that at least those areas get thicker

Most men don’t grow thick hair all the way across the bottom of the bottom lip to the chin.. Ashton Kutcher has a very normal beard.. For the second photo you showed of him he’s in his early 20’s.. his beard is still coming in.

The disconnect under the bottom lip is the growth pattern of 99% of men. It's not patches. That's like saying if your hair doesn't start growing from your eyebrows you have a receding hairline. The lips puckering out of a thick beard without the disconnect looks very dumb.

It's what most women find most attractive. If you don't have a chin, long beard is optimal. Got a chin? Stubble is best. Got a chin but your face shape is on the more round side? Corporate beard is best. Beards are weird, the bigger your beard the more compliments you're going to get from other men and less from women. Kinda like when you shift from having an athletic build in the gym to a more body builder one.

To be considered a beard you have to grow at least the sides. If it's only chin it's a goatee.😮sorry to let you down not everybody grows a beard. My dad and bro only has a goatee. I just got really lucky somehow. I'm growing mine till my birthday. Longest I've grown it is 4 months. I got 6 months to go.🎉
