We will never see the likes of Gregory Peck, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Anthony Quinn, James Stewart, et al in our lifetime. Actors of this caliber have ceased to exist. How blessed and fortunate we are to keep them with us via film. What a thoroughly special evening this was.
Actors of this calibre don't exist anymore...?? Have you heard of Meryl Streep?, what about Glenn Close?how about Michael Douglas ?? Barbra Streisand? Robert Redford? Robert Deniro,? Al Pacino?Tommy Lee Jones? These are legends in their own lifetime..?!!!¡!!
To kill a Mockingbird is my favorite movie of all time. I love Gregory Peck for his beautiful and sensitive portrayal of Atticus Finch. A great actor and elegant and classy person he was He is very missed as are many of these greats that are also gone. Hollywood at its best!!!
Agree 100%....! To Kill a Mockingbird is the only movie I have ever seen that did justice to the Great Novel of the same title.....Gregory Peck is the biggest reason for that ! You could NEVER find a better Atticus Finch ! Such respect for this man !
Gregory Peck was a real gentleman....stunning looks, but just a really really good man....and Audrey Hepburns speech was perfection. Roman Holiday is one of my favourite films...but Gregory Peck...I really don't think they make men like him anymore....more's the pity.
The narcissism of today almost makes you sick and it can make it hard to watch total class, dignity and respect from only 35 years ago. Scary how quickly it went the other way. Let's hope we can get back to this someday.
Everytime I see Gregory Peck either in a movie or in some programme, I can’t help but fall in love with him over and over again. He is one of a kind !!! Love you till my last breath. RIP💕💕💕💕🌹🌹🌹🌹
Um icone maravilhoso ator cavalheiro um dos maiores galãs da época grandes filmes bíblicos faroeste românticos guerras está entre os 10 da história do set
What a wonderful evening this was! My only regret is that this video does not include the film clips that were shown. But we still have the man himself. What a special man he was!
Yes, Gregory Peck was every girl´s dream. I asked all my friends who had sons named Gregory why did they pick that name. And all of them said because of Mr. Peck including me.
Gregory Peck has been my favourite actor since I was thirteen years old. I am now eighty and he will be my favourite actor till I die. I was heart-broken when he died. I’m glad I have many DVD’s of his films at home. Thank you for posting this wonderful tribute to a great actor and human being.
A lot of great stars here.. But Mr. Peck & Ms. Hepburn are my favorites. From anything I know they were beyond talented actors. They were great human beings. They both shared themselves in so many ways.
What a bloke. He was from an era that relied on talent to tell a story, no sex scenes or CGI and he did it well. R.I.P. Greg. Audrey is a story on her own. Very lucky to survive WW2 and severe health problems she made it aswell. I dips me lid to you both.
Will there ever be a time where there exists such a reservoir of talent, elegance, and grace in one room with this kind of humor, decor, and humility? It makes one yearn for a return to this golden exemplar. Too rarely do we gather to say what we truly admire in a person until it is too late. ❤
Yes and not one of them got up there and used their moment at the podium to tell everybody their personal political opinions. That displays the professionalism of these actors of different era, a professionalism that the current breed mostly do not possess because they are under the illusion that people want to hear their personal political opinions and they wrongly use events similar to this one to air them. That is what has made the Oscars an unwatchable television event.
You guys know people in Hollywood at this time we’re just as big pieces of shit as they are now. They were just better at hiding it. The dark side of the Hollywood has always been there. Just ask Marlon Brando or Howard hughes
Ironically, neither Peck nor Hepburn would appreciate such a pompous call for the - impossible - return of old times glamour, as they appreciated simplicity and genuinity.
I really think, that the actors of that generation were a class apart. They knew what to say and how to say it. Of course, Audrey Hepburn is one of a kind
Gregory peck Omar Sharif Anthony Quinn Kirk Douglas Richard button and some of great heroines of America these olden day Actor's were very great and terrific and my very favourite CLIENT EASTWOOD powerful hero an American all their movies were so great now it's all over now all American movies are so flopp and very boring because it is china - American movies chinese their boring kungfu Karate whole time and trying to copy American man style and trying to talk American english accent and their styles but it doesn't soothes them they fighting is like jonkey fighting 😂🤣😂 just bec Bruce Lee was s great actor and fighter the world was injoying it so because of lee they thought the word injoying chines movies what a JOKE thes clowns
What a class act. He is so cute, funny, gracious, and respectful. I have seen alot of his work and some of them more than once. Finally, what a memorable voice. Thanks utube.
Miss him (actor’s actor) so so so much! Audrey as well! They are in haven obviously! Roman holidays is the embodiment of motion picture! So so so great! James Stewart is also wonderful guy!
Gregory Peck ,a real Gentleman, stunning looks and talents! Audrey Hepburn she got a standing ovation for her performance in entertainment! The best I have seen in this video!;Thanks🙏👏🤗💓
I sat down one day years ago and wrote my list of Top Ten Movies of all Time. Imagine my shock to see that Greg Peck was in SIX of them. He was a National Treasure, completely irreplaceable.
Such a fantastic array of filmstars. The current generation can't touch these legends of cinema, Fantastic to have this footage. Thank god their brilliance lives on in celluloid.
What an incredible actor full of integrity and compassion for all human beings. How lucky to have seen a lot of his movies which I've enjoyed and provided the best of all entertainment because you were in those movies.
I am watching this in 2021 and how sad it is that most of them are no longer with us….They don’t make them like this anymore…..I remember it well because I am 82 ……….Sad to see what we have now in Hollywood……very sad.
I loved the movies. Why? It takes me away to another world. To kill a mocking bird and Roman holiday are my favourites. At 60, i am still practising my english to speak like Gregory Peck. He had grace, cultured and a great human being. RIP.
Gregory Peck was a brilliant actor and was in my favourite film To Kill a Mockingbird as Atticus Finch. I was reading the book at college and had a hard time getting the book. I watched the film and his portrayal was brilliant. Not just a fantastic actor but so handsome as well. Give me Gregory Peck over anyone today
No man would ever plan getting such an hommage by such a fairy as Audrey Hepburn.... And all others fairies...😁🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️👸🧚♂️🎡🎡🎡 Better than any Oscars ever 😅😅🤩🤩🤩😎🙏🙏🙏✍
Eine wundervolle Ehrung für Gregory Peck von all seinen bedeutsamen Filmpartnern und Filmpartnerinnen, die zu Freunden wurden. Danke für diese Zusammenstellung!
He was one of my all time favourite actors, along with William Holden. This man could act in anything. All always admire his work and when I see a movie with him in it, no matter if I've seen it more than once, I'll watch it. A brilliant actor....a brilliant person. God bless you Gregory Peck.
When I watched this movie and saw the way Peck delivered his lines, it was as though you were in that courthouse, such was his ability in absorbing his craft so well. His closing speech is, in my opinion, one of the finest portrayals of acting the movie world will ever see. You were amongst the greatest actors Gregory. RIP
@@rickreeve525 To Kill a Mockingbird is my favourite film. Gregory Peck playing Atticus Finch was one of the best portrayals of anyone in any film ever. The way he spoke in that court room defending Tom Robinson was just amazing
@@rickreeve525 Gregory Peck was a great performer as were many in his time period. Hollywood today makes noisy action movies with horrific story-lines backed up with loud noise in the back ground. Even Dr Phil has loud noisy background noise!!
No doubt at all , the actors and actresses of old are goldies ! As a young boy in those roaring years of glory I really , really enjoyed their actions !!! Pure entertainmrnt!!! Today a lot of noise but signifying nothing of real value!!
I was 14 when I watched this movie and it stayed on my mind after the film ended. To be "tolerant" was a word I never realized I used and still use to this day. It is my favorite movie because we all need to be tolerant to each other and not fight with others. This is what this film showed me and I hope it helps others about tolerance which we all need more this day and times.
An actor who I think seems to be Jimmy Stewart is also listening intently to Gregory Peck's speech. It's a little sad to see the end of a generation of Hollywood, a golden age. And another generation's been passing since then, 1989. It feels like life is so fleeting.
Just love the music for To Kill a Mockingbird 3rd. I loved the movie Roman holiday and thought that audrey Hepburn was superb in showing an innocence and joy. Gregory peck was a classy guy.
J adore, quelle classe!.... Jeune ou senior et même âgé il est toujours très distingué et c est un bonheur de le revoir et accueilli aussi chaleureusement Respect et Admiration et Souvenirs

40 years an avid, hungry consumer of film, for the full range of all that makes us human. Never seen a better actor, and in all those 40 years, never have I seen a better movie than To Kill A Mockingbird. Thank you Mr. Peck.
