I'm still in disbelief, thank you so much for continuing this series, you really cannot understand how the first season helped me through tough times. Love you Lashm... - I mean, Lord of Darkness!
I didn't expect this Horizon! Well Lash good luck through this pack. I hope you can make it further than I did. Pace yourself and enjoy I'm reallly excited to see your approach to this.
Thanks so much for playing this one Lash, its really hard to find good GTNH videos and yours were fantastic. I am happy to hear you are going to take it a little easier this time around, maybe with less progression you could explain some of your setups a bit more? I cant wait for more videos!
Make sure to spread out your machines more this time or the concentration of darkness produced from your machines will prevent chunks from saving. (Chunks in Minecraft 1.12.2 and lower do not save if they're 2 MB in size or larger.)
honestly last time it was also spread out lol my base was 24 chunks wide. also the chunk errors i think were because of small ores and would crash my game and leave a ghost block.
Hey lash!! I really discovered and came to enjoy this modpack from your first season and I am so happy you are going to continue this!!!! Just be sure of chunk borders, and really just take breaks if you need. We all understand how taxing this pack will be so don’t burn out.
It appears that not even the infamous GTNH can quell the unbreakable spirit of darkness. Good to see, hopefully this world lasts longer than the last one :D me is looking forward to another awe inspiring base
i dont understand why he's back here, but if he's having fun, i cant judge. that or its just a slugfest with a modpack that makes you feel pain every step of the way that lash wont quit either way, godspeed lord of darkness, i wish you the best
Oh Lord of Darkness, its awesome to see u playing this pack again. I think its the best pack for people like us. it helps us to stay dark in our minds. Greetings. Love to see more.
Dear Lash, our Lord of Darknes von Dunkelheit, thanks to you my day will be beautiful. Why ? because you came back with the new season of my favorite series! Thank you very much.💜
Any metal (or obsidian) tool parts from village smelteries can be melted back into it's base material in a smeltery, so especially the obsidian is worth grabbing as that allows you to get early Obsidian binding/sword guard and Alumite. Otherwise breaking obsidian with a regular pickaxe requires a steel pickaxe to get a high enough mining level. Iron may be easier to repair, but for TiC tools Bronze is a straight upgrade over iron - higher durability, higher mining level, and (slightly) faster mining speed. It's more expensive to maintain, but especially with an Obsidian Binding to give you Reinforced III I think it's worth it for the slight speed increase. One hint for getting earlier access to Thaumcraft: Kobolds in the Twilight Forest have a rare chance of dropping Alu ingots, which guarantees that you can craft your first TC wand before setting up an EBF (looting Alu ingots is also an option, but that requires some exploration luck).
Imagine coming across this randomly and then hearing him say that a bucket of water gets you into tinkers. Person would be confused on what they heard and would be funny.
Optional tasks weren’t added to quests till after the version you are playing, so remember you will have to hold and craft all those items such as for tinkers stuff and the smeltery
I’m so glad your giving it another go! Take it slow and go at your own pace. My biggest mistake was rushing progression and burning out. Imo it’s more fun to go slow and build infrastructure.
Since its been so long, don't forget that Tinker's tools level based off durability. Meaning, a low durability tool levels up faster then a high durability one. I like to mine up a bunch of RC quarried stone for building blocks (and marble recipes, they are ore dictionaried and chiselable between each other) while things are processing until I have enough modifiers to make it unbreakable. It usually happens before I even get to the Twilight Forest, which then unlocks entropy shards for an unbreakable, 32!!! base mining speed pickaxe. Don't forget Pam's Gardens spread; This is especially important for the Nether and Water gardens. The nether crops are stupidly good; Marrowberry and ignis fruit are generic fruits, Bloodleaf is generic veggie, and Fleshroot is generic raw meat! (Meaning no dealing with the extended soy recipes). Just the names alone should have our Lord of Darkness' attention. Water Gardens are also incredible early on, the pile of different fish, with a few that themselves cook to unique foods for more variety, and rice opens up a lot of recipes.
Wow, I gotta say, this is a refreshing way to play Minecraft. Of course, not new, but it is still refreshing. I took GTNH to a T and got myself stuck to Steam...
Woo! Sorry to hear about your old world, I know you put a lot of work into it. But at least this time you can correct any mistakes you made during your first playthrough!
I almost feel like it might have been better to just continue your old save from season 1. GTNH is a massive pack and starting it over is a good way to ensure that you will never beat it. Guess the die is cast at this point though, oh well. Hope you don't get burnt out this time. Take breaks if you need them.
At first I couldn't believe it when I saw the title! The neighing horses are back! ❤ I love GT, I wish they would make a newer pack with less mobs. I hate mobs.
