with GLs they are either taking this game as a complete joke, or are taking it so incredibly seriously, theyre in a 4-man squad with a SAW operator and are actually using smoke screens, they're playing Tarkov like it's ARMA
I loved the 40mm, used to be a squad grenadier in a ARMA3 milsim community. I was new, ask the position, it was free because the previous grenadier changed i think to LMG operator, older players kind of meh and kept the position because first operation i stoppped a BTR moving with a single grenade around the 400m mark, the AT gunner chewed in the now static vehicle. The rest of the op lasted almost nothing because i cleared the objective with 3 more grenades almost like a mortar with LOS
Something busted about the GP-25 that wasn't mentioned is the arming distance, you can shoot it roughly 6 feet away and it will detonate so it's a monster in dorms and the resort. GL's are fun just for the pure rage it causes.
@@macrossMX in ARMA you can have pretty open ops, with slightly high ground you are pretty much tossing grenades at range with th bonus of being able to adjust and havd enough consistency
6:34 The RDG-2B has one use, if you have enough money to almost literally throw away, you can buy them for under 4.7k from Prapor and throw them for 0.2 points to strength.
to make the vog 25 obliterate in the first shot : Draw a horizontal line from the irons of the AK , draw a vertical line from the post of the grenade launchers sight. Where they meet is where it goes boom. Pretty accurate.
Something few people know about the RGD is that they're half the weight of a F1 so it helps if you have a heavy loadout that gets you overcumbered by just a bit
RGD-5's are half the weight of an F-1, which is actually a very significant amount when you go in with high tier heavy gear and want to carry 4-5 grenades.
about the green smoke nade, its excellent for getting people to look where you want. i have gotten quite a few kills by throwing it at an enemy i am in a stand off with then hearing a shot or two wring out from a rat sniper from god knows where and have my advisory be back in the title screen. only issue with this method is you generally cant loot the body because of the sniper that took them out, even so though it has saved my tush a fair few times.
@@hdjono3351 Basically, you toss the grenade to use it as a marker to anyone else in the raid that "HEY LOOK AT ME, THERE'S A GUY HERE" so they get sniped by someone
If 4:23 is not proof that Tarkov in game mercs are some kind of super soldiers I don't know what is. That throw must be at least 100m its utterly ridiculos.
Well they were shaped like baseballs because "every American knows how to throw a baseball." And some outfielders can throw from center field to the pitchers mound which is roughly 100m. So honestly while it's a bit of a stretch it's not entirely impossible.
@@uncannyvalley3190Its entirely impossible for the average guy, especially since a grenade is heavier. And look at that flat trajectory too, Tarkov nade throws are superhuman.
I don't think it's noted in the video, but the weight of the grenade plays huge part in how far you can throw it. The F1 being the heaviest has the shortest arc in the game, and for that reason I never personally buy it. The M67 is one of, if not *the* lightest grenade in the game, which adds to why it's so effective as an ICBM!
I wish you well with school, and brother, i hope you can find something new to make vids on with the way things are going. hoping for the best for you.
I use m18's as a decoy/distraction. Because of how loud gets, it can cover my movements (from flanking, fleeing, repositioning, rush etc ). I use this same concept with airdrops when the plane is above my general building/area i'm around. Many players have a hard trouble hearing when it comes to these.
fr smokes saved me countless time from the bush rats pinning me down, pop a couple smokes and get the hell out of dodge while theyre wondering what the hell is happening
Ok so I'm not the only person who mainly packs grenades as Scav detection? Hearing an absurd amount of scav screaming after 1 grenade has grown to become one of my favorite noises
As a 40mm GL user, there was a time that me and my team came across a group of 3 pmc who were trying to do Setup quest in custom. They got one of my friend who was having connection problem while we were waiting for him to regroup at the hill next to construction. By the time I spotted them, I was able to wiped their team within 2 shots; the first one got 2 of them and got the last guy who was hiding behind the berm with second shot As a tip if you got ambush by the GL user or expecting to clash with them in the raid..... "DON'T BUNCH UP" Someone in your team is going to be erase for sure, but at least.....not the whole squad in the first shot
In the wake of what BSG did today, I'm not saying it's time to buy a Sallet and swap games, but Dark and Darker's multiclassing has been a wild experience lately.
Love this series! I also should mention I love using zarya as 'fake' nades. I usually run 2-3 of them and then use them for mind games. Like throw the nade and then push right behind it, becuase they dont know its only a flash, etc.
Fun fact, the M18 smoke grenades are actually SUPER effective inside buildings where the wind wont disperse the smoke, 2 of those should have completely blocked sight in that room in about 8 seconds. Also, they burn hot, so thermals can't see shit through them.
When the Flashbangs were first introduced. It was pretty funny just to listen in a raid, back then the F1 was like a freaking tactical nuke, meaning players were basically conducting thermonuclear warfare, and then when Flashbangs were introduced everyone was throwing firecrackers.
M-67 is good for storming the place, you throw it in, everyone runs for cover, and that's when you come in. It's not that you have to throw them half a map away or anything
Og alpha player here, the F1 also called the nuke, because of its ability to crash servers, kill everyone on factory regardless of cover, and just in general be a weapon of terror in alpha. And yes it would literally kill everyone on the map regardless of where you were.
Zaryas are good for early wipe because fence sells them. You need no trader levels for them. They also still make the grenade plonk noises and are good for rushing a panicking enemy... Like a less deadly M96 grenade.
A vog banked down the office stairs in factory and I got jumpscared and ate all of the shrapnel and my buddy only took concussive damage and survived LOL
M67 master race(you can airburst them close to you by aiming all the way up then notching your aim down by a slight amount. I have gotten pretty damn good at using it to kill people over buildings/rocks)
Literally as you're talking about the M381 I'm sorting my stash and found one I looted on interchange a couple of raids ago. Then realised I have 6 in an ammo box.
ngl this video made me kind of want to try using underbarrel GLs for fun, but also in specific situations I could see them being incredibly potent(i.e in somewhere like dorms on customs...can easily clear out the hallway or a room that you know a rat is occupying). Also the Apers is badass, I gotta start using that to tilt people off the face of the earth when I kill some juicer with one singular apers shot(probably pretty potent if youre close quarters holding an angle/door waiting for someone to push into...basically 100% guarantee they get 1 shot instantly).
The m7290 is an amazing thing, it's not about beeing flashed, but it'll mess up audio, meaning if you get someone they cannot hear you pushing their position
There's a very obscure glitch with the M18 smoke grenade that lets you throw an infinite amount of them. I'm sure there's a video of it somewhere on youtube, but the gist of it is that when you pull the pin on it and equip your gun, it throws it server side but not client side. Basically makes a one way smoke.
The F-1 actually makes sense to be silent when it plops at your feet because of the design. The pineapple-style design acts as a sort of soundproofing surface, not unlike those panels with a number of small pyramids you see popular livestreamers using in their rooms. This surface allows for sound to be discombobulated in, over, and around the surface of the grenade's exterior when the defecation hits the oscillation during an engagement and a grenade is utilized. Thus, ladies and gentlemen, you have these "silent" grenades. Really it would be more accurate to say that they are suppressed weapons, but for the purposes of this discussion it matters little. The more you know!
Realistically, I think it's because it's a thick chunk of segmented steel versus most grenades being substantially lighter with thinner exteriors - though it should still make an impact sound, I can see the F1 (and similar sorts of old-school steel pineapples) producing a deeper thud than more modern designs My greater problem with grenade noises is that every single grenade impact noise sounds the exact same, an F1 on dirt and a VOG-25 on concrete shouldn't sound the exact same, but I can see an argument being made that it's for gameplay purposes
Don’t sleep on cqb M67s, they are superb area denial tools, locking down hallways for an extra 1.5 seconds. Super valuable for maneuvering during a fight.
Thoughts on the smoke grenade I was able to disengage many situations when throwing smokes because it gets the enemy to sometimes just sit there confused
have you tried using smokes when planting or grabbing a task from an open and hot area ? also if you bind the m18 to say "4" pull it out, then aim where you wanna throw it, pull pin, while holding press to pull your primary out, itll put the nade away but throw it for everybody else
tip from a grenade main: never, ever, EVER, try to land a grenade at an enemy's feet(except for impacts, duh). throw it in a high arc through the air so it goes off in a roughly 10-15 meter radius around their head. you will get a lot more kills this way.
I got hit by underbarrel launcher 2 times a few day's ago for the first time. Have no idea where he was hiding but i think he shoot from far away, coulden't hear a shot or anything, just a boom and i was bleeding, another boom and i was dead. I was confused and first where thinking it where land mines so i stood in place and froze trying to figure out how to escape the non existent minefield xD
Smoke-nades are really good when you know how to use them properly, you'll just have to be a little more creative (which is the rule of thumb when it comes to nades overall)
M18 is my most often used grenade. It's silent and alerts scavs and scav bosses. Way better than a zarya which is loud and looks like a mini super nova at night. I HAVE used it to kill people but it's very situational. Most often i used it if someone is holding a long corridor like in factory or d2, it allows me to peek out and throw a vog at them without immediately getting head eyes. I killed a d2 camper this way and it was my proudest grenadier kill. M18 = best rat daily driver nade. I like zaryas too but i use them to flash scavs not for pmc. If a scav is holding a tough angle you can flash them, and you will know theyre flashed bc they will start firing their gun wildly.
M67s force pmcs out of position for a longer period of time, good for fighting in any confined area like dorms, resort, buildings in streets etc. Yeah they probably won't kill as often but the fact it locks a pmc out of a spot for a good 5 seconds is really good, I don't use any other nade type now unless I am too lazy to buy more m67s
