I’m a 77 yr old white who grew up in Jim Crow south. I’ve been an activist since childhood. Thank you Greta for carrying a bright torch against oppression.
And this is an incredible opportunity for Greta. She was a media darling when they believed they could use her as a symbol for their meaningless "green" initiatives that were, in fact, just lies to sell the same products and the same system, but with a green paint over it. The nanosecond she linked capitalism and the billionaire ruling class to climate change and other social issues, and started to put pressure against them, they stopped all coverage of her. Having a platform here will be very important for her and for the entire world.
@@supmofo7538 The young bro that lit himself on fire cuz he couldn´t be part of the real terrorist, his homeland, home of the "brave" and "free", stupidly took his life instead of making a difference
@@supmofo7538 Aaron Bushnell was a 25 year old soldier in the Air Force who immolated himself in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington D.C. earlier this year. He continued to shout "Free Palestine!" as he burned. Young people in particular are horrified over Israel's campaign of genocide against the Palestinians. If Harris/Walz loses this election, Dem "Leadership's" decision to blacklist Palestinians from the Democratic National Convention's stage and from political converse in general, might very well be one of the reasons. The Dems and their Repub "friends-across-the-aisle, have pretty much refused to admit that Palestine and Palestinians exist. All they'll talk about is the October 7 attack in 2023, as if that's all that matters.
The craziest thing is that he killed himself for a cause that is a giant lie. Here's a lil part of that lie, 1948 Israel becomes a state gaza is still occupied by egypt for another 20 years and the west bank by jordan. But I thought the zionists occupied and kicked out the palestinans. 😂😂😂😂
Extinction Rebellion would do well to listen to Greta. You can’t be an environmentalist and not be anti war. Respect. Solidarity ✊🏽to Motaz. Free Palestine 🍉❤️
If we believe in climate and ecological justice, we must seek justice in all forms. The climate and ecological emergency has roots in centuries of colonial violence, exploitation and oppression - for which the UK bears a disproportionate share of responsibility. Britain has historically been instrumental in the ruthless suppression of Palestinian human rights and continues to offer unwavering support for the military onslaught we’re seeing now.
I just watched Greta's Democracy Now interview. It's lovely to see that she kept growing and learning. More Europeans should learn that atonement for WW2 is not subservience and blind unquestioning loyalty to an ap4rthe!d government but prevention of ext3rm!nat!0n of every group of people with no special exceptions.
TY Mehdi and Zeteo for having such a wonderful climate activist and Motaz. Had seen his pic's but never knew who he was except for the people posting and putting his name on pic and including in description.
Italians have been on Palestinians side since the 60s. Both the people and many politicians (on all sides). History proves that. Unfortunately this tragedy is happening during our most far-right (but also pro-USA) government since Mussolini 😢 I hope Palestinians remember they always had a friend in Europe (Italy). We share more than the Mediterranean. This has been the worst year of my life.
The emissions from the first 120 days of the Israel-Gaza conflict exceeded the annual emissions of 26 individual countries. This period saw intense military activity, including bombing raids, reconnaissance flights, and rocket attacks.
we tend to automatically slap the term "hero" on soldiers. American, Russian and Israeli soldiers are proof that soldier doesn't automatically mean hero. Moataz is a hero. He's a photographer but a bigger hero than the soldiers of any army in the recent years. And he's so chill! I love the man.
Take good care of yourself Motaz, please stay well to witness the free and peaceful Palestine. ❤ Many support you and Palestine. God is watching and history will remember all this !!! There's over 7 billion of us in the world, many see and hear Gaza, West Bank, your plight..
Stroke of genius having Greta as a contributor and creating a series where activism, in all its forms, can be explored and powerful conversations can be had - this one with Motaz is perfect example. This is what's missing from legacy media, young people who care about the world in which they live, not bowed and broken by the anger and despair of the social, political and economic injustice they bear witness to everyday, and ones that those in power are telling them don't exist. Thank you both, Zeteo and Mehdi for dragging 'the media' - kicking and screaming - into it's next phase of evolution.
First time hearing Greta speak and I must say she appears to be a very bright, articulate and respectful individual. Her explanation of why she supports the Palestinians rights to their freedom is compelling as any. The consistency is highly appreciated. Something we aren’t very used to seeing with activists with celebrity status in all honesty. And what can be said of Motaz other than be in awe of his human spirit and strengh in all of this madness. Right in the thick of it all, he’s lived breathed smelt felt heard witnessed it not on his phone screen but with his two eyes. Nothing you do Motaz will ever be short of brave. I wonder how one even has the strength to utter anything at all given the trauma you’ve been surrounded with. God bless you both and Free Palestine 🇵🇸
I really started to admire Greta since I know how she really cares for the Palestinians and is speaking the truth for what is happening. In Germany they tried to vilify her. But that is only because Germany is always on the wrong side. Or anybody believes the ones who committed Gann@siide?
Greta, KEEP DOING PODCASTS! You KNOW what truth represents!! Honesty, integrity, consistency! Just as you’ve ALWAYS demonstrated. MORE GRETA! ACTION IS INSISTENCE! NOT ACTION AT A DISTANCE!
Valdigt bra att hora dig tala fran hjartat och som alltid, om saker och ting som spelar roll, Greta. Motaz and Greta - two great role models I hope that most of our youth would like to emulate. I like the little but important details on Greta's wall. One picture with fire (eldupphor) translates as 'ceasefire'. A side note is that Swedes are stubbornly agnostic so as Motaz talks about his conversation with Allah, Greta appears to disconnect for a split second (like most swedes ;-) but either way, she keeps listening attentively and retains a respectful dialogue. Love it! The beauty lies in our joint humanity and rightfully aligned principles as opposed to our small differences. More of this please, zotero!
Yes, Greta! RUN! The advice is SERIOUS! My generation, we chained ourselves to the TREES!!!! As they kicked and spit on us . . . But they are doing much MUCH worse today. Your generation needs you to SAFELY navigate these dark times! You are a LEADER!!!! Your message of honesty, integrity and solutions-oriented activism needs to be HEARD AND ACTED UPON! Thank you for your service to humanity.
Thank you both, Motaz and Greta! It might all feel hopeless and we are heartbroken during this Genocide, Medicide and Ecocide in Gaza and on the Gaza population and that is why we have a duty to cry and to show more then ever our humanity and come together and gather by the millions during this destruction to honor life and to honor our humanity. One of the most intelligent gifts we have is as living beeings is our capability to feel Empathy. To be able to see through and feel through someone else eyes and sorrow and put our selves there in the other. With this we can show, act and change together. We can give and recieve. We can stop Genocide and destruction together. We have a duty and that is our place and role on this earth. The human spirit has this beauty. Through this spirit many, many together. We reach empathy, responsibility and sacrifice. Peace work is then possible.
There is a divergence between organizing, organized planning of activist things, and art and all the artistic contributions to community. I think there is a lot of room there for artists to recursively address that.
This interview shows how Zeteo is the future of news media. More power to both Motaz and Greta. Motaz's strength and fortitude during the ongoing genocide of Palestinians is an example for all of us.
Greta and Motaz face both something unique that acquaints to the way a viewer changes what is observed. The limitations of the viewer create a new message. For Greta it comes as approval from maladaptive appreciators who are so relieved by her while never changing. For Motaz, who I am so murderously glad got out, it must be a dizzying and disorienting form of having to see yourself through a lens of holocaust survivor as pop art. Don’t let it kill you.
These are two very fine people. Dedicating their lives to showing and telling the world of the inequities and injustices of the world. Long may they have a strong voice!!!
