Cerulean Smoke and Amethyst are two different colors for the Gretsch. Cerulean Smoke is a light blue sparkly finish. The one you review here is Amethyst, true. Anyway, thanks for the great review!

I JUST bought one of the larger hollow bodies, never giving a thought to my upper arm tendonitis. May have to part with it, so I've been looking at one of these. Glad you showed the Amethyst- some pics on-line make it look like dark cherry. Thanks!

Beautiful colour and elegant sounding. As you mentioned it is a little.thin sound but quite elegant.

You tipically tought about jazz, and rockabilly to demo the guitar. I have 5 Gretsch guitars and I play Blues and Rock and they are just great at it. Bands using Gretsch guitars are for example AC/DC (Malcolm Young), The Cult (Billy Duffy), ZZ Top (Billy Gibbons), Soundgarden (Chris Cornell), The Who (Pete Townshend), Gretsch guitar are not a one trick pony like many thinks.

I wish reviewers would discuss the acrylic finish applied to the neck and fingerboard. It effects play-ability, IMO.

beautiful guitar, Gretsch ADJUSTO-MATIC™ BRIDGES I don't like them I hear a lot of ppl have problems with them like buzzing. I had a buzzing "B" string on my G5410T when I bought it. Instead of playing around with this thing I just replaced it with a SPACE CONTROL BRIDGE for $20.00 off of E-Bay. fixed all my problems. I figured also if the space control is good enough for a White Falcon my Rat Rod was in good hands. (and it is. ) even looks vintage and cool to boot.

Is the bigsby a pain like most people tell me for changing strings and staying in tune?

Why would you want a master volume if you have individual volume knobs? 🤔

The bigsby arm is really high. Not comfy to me.
