Appearing so relaxed while exercising such control means a clear head and heart. That takes hard work. Justin earns every bit of positive feedback and compliment twice over every day
It is very difficult to quantify greatness. But, after watching every JJ video for years, I think I can now identify at least one component of his undeniable greatness…. He doesn’t try to sound like anybody else, EVER! Obviously his playing is influenced by the many wonderful players that preceded him. But, he isn’t trying to sound like them. He is perfectly content to just be and sound like himself… wise beyond his years!
A,men, we have to get him out , other this sound is gone. I'm 72 and just put my slide in the fish tank as a play toy. I'm embarrassed, it comes to him by a higher being, fight hand movement is mesmerising.
Ohhh yes! Crazy legs time!!! Hahahahaha yeah. Absolutely excellent kick up the arse to get moving with a little hot foot shuffle. Thank you very kindly Justin 😘👍 keep them loved ones safe brother
a few chords will turn into something else eventually. just enjoy it and don't let yourself get frustrated when playing. put the guitar down when you do. and pick it up when you feel inspired.
Why aren't you more well known?! Your playing is simply superb and is about the best finger picking, slide sliding, delta sounding guitar music making I've ever heard!
Justin is well on his way to be up in that legendary status for pickin and grinnin. Would lije to see him do a banjo slide tune if possible. Now that would be awesome
I bought a Gretsch "Boxcar" rez a few years ago. Did a demo with it on my page when I first got it. It's quite laughable compared to your virtuoso performances. Love the sound of the Honey Dipper...amazing low end. Great jam JJ.
People like making sharp comments me included.I'm 72 yrs and haven't seen it all. To say it's good and wow is distasteful. This young man has something I've no seen musically in 55 years. He must not be overlooked people. Fritz.
Wow , Gretsch Resonator Blues , in the hands of the Maestro , nothing sounds as good . Thank you JJ , you have an affinity with Resonators and the Delta sound , something which I have become addicted to and I advise everybody to do the same . Very much respect from NZ .
Great playing, I wish you had a lesson for beginner fundamentals on just the right hand action to practice to get faster. I try but get frustrated because I guess everyone develops their own right hand rhythm style. Thank you.
I 💜 that U put a whole heap of lovin goodness into this world that soo badly needs it. An excellent role model compared to the norm in the music world.
When I finish my Fuzzed Jimmie Hendrix Blues-Jazz -Fusion Creative Arppegio Renditions I always Listen to Justin and Imagine Overlaying or Underlaying Lead -Melody Tracks to his Grand-Master Creations...of my favorite Dobro- Tunes! They can be Either Swampy or Grass-Fed "I'm still a Musical fan and Collage"! Staying in the Groove that you Create is Inspirational!! Hope to become One of your " Elder" Band Members someday...Dream Big Think Bigger...Create a World of Wonder...

@@amoshannah2791 funny response, somethng tht I lerned from typing that dash myself ....forgot its all aabout me, anyway I missed graduating from HS because we took off one day 3 weeks before...btw no need ro send your thoughts cause its all about me remember?
Thank you Justin for providing great music and for the frequency of putting out your videos. Thank you to all my fellow commenters for nothing but positive comments. No foolish taunts or somehow turning it into a political debate. Very rare indeed for youtube. The only other channel I have seen like this is by Frankie Macdonald. A special needs adult from Nova Scotia who likes the weather. (I have no affiliation, but if you want to feel good about humanity check him and his commentators out.)
By the way, Justin, you are missing the Mullet Toss weekend at Florabama in Orange Beach, Alabama this very day. There's only about 200,000 people floating along without your sound...hmmmm....I tried to get you motivated to come here...guess you had bigger fish to fry...
Awesome! Love my Honeydipper, and just ordered the 12barblues humbucker pickup. Curious about placement though- I’ve seen em right at the neck, and back at the cone. ( as in the vid above). Any suggestions or justification for locating in a specific area? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
Love your music mate, greetings from the UK.Just keep playing! But do me a favour though? Make yourself available on other Platforms other than You . . . know who? Because i missed you for several months (for their usual BS reasons) . . .
I just have a question that it will really gonna help me!! Are you improvising or it's something that you composed before and been training to play it perfectly?
I accidentally had 1.5 speed on, and wow…😂. On a serious note, I discovered you recently and can’t get enough. You’re really freakin good at any speed!
I can play decent enough with cords and strumming but where or how do you start to play finger style? I’ve tried to watch a bunch of beginner style videos, but really just go back to what I know because I am always disappointed with progress. Any helpful suggestions other than just stick with it? Always love to hear ya play Justin!
Have you ever played a Michael Messer resonator? If so, what are your thoughts on them? Also, I'd love to hear you do a version of Ry Cooder's "Feeling Bad Blues". Thanks
im mostly a metal head and a classical guitarist but, i've had a schupp sp-2 bar slide laying around for years and i mess with it every now and then, but i feel like a tube slide over the finger would help a LOT?
Hey Justin, I'm a huge fan and a Po' boy lookin for a steel body, wonderin if this is straight factory or if you modified it? was also thinkin of throwin a resophonic fishman pickup (i see you got something on yours) in it for gigging, and maybe a National Biscuit Cone. Let me know, and keep on shakin em on down!
