Since the release of his debut album in early 2022, Grey Code has embarked on a journey of transformation. Breaking onto the scene at such a young age has given him a unique opportunity to not only evolve his current sound but also to experiment with new ideas. This creative exploration over the past few years has culminated in his latest release, the 'Growing Pains EP'.
This period of artistic growth has been both challenging and liberating for Grey Code, resulting in some of his most conceptual music to date. Nowhere is that truer than the EPs headline track, coming in the form of an unexpected yet stunning collaboration with soul music legend Omar, facilitated by an introduction from Goldie.
Throughout the five-track EP, Grey Code delves deep into new emotional territories, capturing feelings of discomfort alongside hope. He embraces a broader sound palette, moving away from a focus on analog synths with a variety of imposing influences creating an impressively authentic musical experience.
