A little different for me to have a video like this on my channel.. but that's because here soon i am wanting to start up my own ATLA channel where i will be uploading ATLA content, as well as reviews for each episode of the Netflix live action adaptation of the show.

Also just on a side note, I’m fully aware and supportive of the fact that the Netflix Live-Action show will feature a NON white washed cast. We talk in the interview briefly about Bri Larson playing Azula simply because Grey voiced Captain Marvel in the cartoon so it would be funny if Bri also played Azula in the live-action show. However we don’t actually want that and it would never happen because people would literally RIOT. 😂

Grey Delisie is the opposite of Azula in every way! A lot of Voice actors usually are. And how. I should note that Grey Delisie is the Queen when it comes to voicing irredeemable female Villains. But I digress.

I’ve heard some people say that to this day, she’s never watched Azula’s breakdown because she never wanted to hear herself like that again. Did you find out if that was true or not?

I have been waiting for at least one of the original voice actors to give their thoughts on the Netflix. In terms however of who should be cast in said show they said they were gonna do it with a “culturally appropriate non-white washed cast so...yeah

Caroline DiSalvatore She just suggested Bri Larson because she voiced Captain Marvel the animated character😊 I didn’t wanna be like “BUT SHE’S WHITE!” 🤣🤣Dante really would be a great actor to have in the show tho!

@@Mrdarams What's weird is that the logical conclusion of this stuff would be requiring ethnically ambiguous actors to disclose their background. Plenty of people can pass for characters (especially CARTOON characters) of other races or ethnicities than their own. If you have to ask if somebody is the "right" race, then maybe you're the problem. And maybe the solution would be acknowledging there need not be a "right" race for a character beyond a passing resemblance.

akin daramola it’s because of representation. Can you honestly say you’ve seen as many Asian/Indigenous actors in major productions in leading roles? Plus, people are tired of seeing white actors in movies/shows that appropriate other people’s cultures.
