You don't need to sand base coat before clear coat. Sand piling is when you get base coat over spray on your blends

You can do all the time before control coat !

Most companies have a basecoat retardant that helps to dry slower

You need the right paint line 90line no problem with that color

Robert Walter sprayed lots of things , but never sprayed glasurit. How is that system with color matching ? And if KAD on 90line couses less issues every shop should have that just for this color 😂

Alane Atika same here. I use the clear base as a wet bed so the edge of the Metallics land wet. I apply it before every coat of base at the blend area.

I don't like to do while is still wet but this is ppg Envirobase

Hi there t490 is just a clear base coat tinter. For example if you mixed a 1000g of colour, the actual colour changing tinters may only reach 800g so you would then use 200g of t490 to achieve the 1000g your mixing. Hope this helps

@@MOTIVATEDPAINTERS so for example lets say it gives you 4 chips you narrow it down then from there im guessing cause your knowledge and experience take over you use that formula and add and take away what you need and dont need right? ive been watching your videos and i was wondering if you sprayed a test panel cause thats what they have us doing to determine the coats i need to match color

Hi there. Sand piling is a term used in the spray painting world for when the base coat lays on top of the panel rather than into the panel creating a texture area which would be visible after clear coat. Gabe showed us how to avoid this problem by using a wet bed (clear base coat)
