Funny the whole time I lived in OK I never heard of an OK Onion Burger. Now they are all the rage. I like a thick burger wrapped with a piece of bacon. But these Oklahoma burgers make me want to holler BOOMER SOONER. Polka Dot Kangaroo.

Looks like the griddle wasn't quite hot enough to get that really solid crust built up. In general, I dispise American cheese, but they just belong on a smash burger. There's something so simple and tasty about it in this one scenario. And they really don't need much for toppings. Can't beat a good smash burger!

First time seeing you. I’ve seen 100’s of smash burgers cooked on RU-vid but you make it so interesting. I’m sure you guys are doing great on RU-vid the Polkadot kangaroo thing is interesting. Ima try that in my next video. 😂
The smash burger concept actually comes from making sliders. It really wasn't started in Oklahoma. Although they take the credit. There is a place called Cozy Inn burger joint in Salina Kansas. They have been making sliders, smashing them with onions since 1923. They just celebrated their 100-year anniversary this year. They were rated in the top 50 for hamburger joints in America and top in Kansas. People from all over the US order their burgers and are shipped in a container with dry ice. When you leave this place after buying a dozen sliders, you smell like onions the rest of the day. People will look at you and say, you must've been at Cozy's. Lol. Polka Dot Kangaroo.

Where the heck did the word smashburger come from? I think it may have come from millennials, but I'm not 100% sure. I've been making burgers for 40 years and smash them down, but never called it a smashburger. I don't know....Just think it's one of these gay azz words that millenials may have come up with.
