GridTracker UDP Problems? Try this FIX!

In this video I am going to go over GridTracker (GT) and using it with WSJT-X . Sometimes there are unexpected problems with the UDP data being received by GridTracker. So, everything has been working fine, but one day you come in and find UDP messages not working. It may be your antivirus software causing the problem, a windows update or some other software blocking the 2237 port. And even after disabling antivirus software and restarting the problem still exists. I had this happen to me before. Please subscribe, if you haven’t already done so.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did as you suggested and it worked after I allowed access to that port. I later went back and restored the settings to the original ports and that worked too! Thanks for the idea!

Your tip worked for me 1x. Everytime I fire up my computer, I have to deal with no data between the two apps. It's very frustrating. I checked firewall settings, and there are no restrictions for either app. When there is udp connection, everything works, until the next time I start up the apps.

You Just SAVED my Sanity !!! I have been dealing with this off and on forever!!! Would get frustrated and just not use it, then one day try to tackle it again. I was able to multicast to another computer hooked to a tv and running gridtracker, but still couldn't get it to work on the local machine....Just changed them both to 2247 and they are both working !!!! Thank you!

My problem is in the bottom of Grid Tracker where the last contacts show up with the red flags, I get many with a yellow triangle with the explanation point in it. I cannot find out what that means. Any help appreciated. 73 N6ZKI

Thank you so much. My SSD crashed (boot part) but I had a mirror SSD that was about 6 months old plus all my data backed up ok. When I went to the mirrored disk, I had a lot of outdated software including gridtracker. When I installed the update, I lost my UDP like you described and changing the port fixed it fine. You have reduced or eliminated so much stress so many times with your youtubes. Thank you so much! Greatly appreciated. de 7J1ADJ

Hello K0PIR, I am facing problem with GridTracker when runing WSJTX integrate to N1MM. The GridTracket can work dan did not show Tx Activity. Envethoug I have modified the port. Any solution how to make it work with N1MM integrate with WSJTX ? de YC7UFI

Hello, and thank you for commenting. I haven’t used GT with N1MM. Are you starting WSJT-X from within N1MM and not with the WSJT-X shorcut?
