Since 2012 eh? I remember the first time I played Age of Empires on PC... the year it released. I remember when Unreal Tournament came out and was such a huge hit... back when Epic was a name spoken with warm feelings, because they made one of the best damn games on the planet, with no lootboxes, no DLC, no shitty launcher, just a great game that came on a disc in a nice box, that you bought at the store, took it home, pop it in, installed it, enter your CD key, and it worked, no beta, no early access, no day 1 patch, because they actually tested it before selling it and ensured it worked reliably (insane right?). No user accounts either, just pick your name in the game's settings, and player model (the skins were free back then) then open the server list for the matches going on, pick whichever one had a nice ping, a fun game mode, a map you like and a decent number of players. The online gaming was free, click join and you played a game of skill where no one could pay to win, no classes or heroes, just battles of skill. A game not designed around monetisation and locking players into a grindy XP and loot collecting gameplay loop designed to bore you into submission to pay money to skip it. A game designed to be a complete product not a live service, designed to be controversially *just a fun game.* Then for the hell of it, they gave you extra maps and stuff for free because the game sold so well. Why? Because it was made by a small private company full of gamers who wanted to fulfil their dream of making games and not needing to 'find a real job'. That was normal back then. Sigh.. 2019... Oh how fucking far we've fallen since those days. And let me tell you, as someone who has been gaming on PC since 3D graphics were still kinda new and sega's were sold in retail stores, Epic Game Store is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen happen to PC gaming, if not THE ugliest. I hope it ceases to exist very soon, along with Epic Games.

He is honestly a such underrated RU-vidr. Every video you can see he is always interacting with his subscribers. 17:11 guy complains about the game being so hard about making one mistake you lose (looks at bullet hell shooters , Metal Slug , Insurgency , Hotline Miami , Deadbolt and many more) the game is popular because it really challenge you no hand holding your on your own on this and from the way the guy complains he does not have any patience.

Fun Fact: The Epic Launcher is a nightmare to use as a standard user(I have tested it out before). It will constantly ask for admin permission to perform downloads or updates and even when you give standard users write permissions, it ignores this. The only known fix is to run it in admin mode which brings us back to the original issue.

Hey Griffin Gaming thanks for a great laugh, im an old school pc gamer been playing pc games for as long as i can remember, my very first pc was a green screen pc called a microbee, playing text adventuer games. I can just see that Hippozoned guy as one of those gamers that gets up jumps around and going on a hissy fit like a little kid because he died or a simple puzzle is to hard. Its amazing the new pc aguments nowadays. i remember when forced registration for games was just coming out and the stink it kicked up, that was a pain at first put now its the normality of the pc gaming industry.And now it releasing unfinished games, its just a shame that these things are going on in the worlds best industry. I will love my games till the day i die. Loving your Channel keep up the great work.
