This looks good... I wouldn't do it in a million years but Tom is so wholesome I have never missed an episode two years to this day. I love the way he cooks, and talks. Can someone tell Tom about the skin and cooking time ?:)
Wow, Chief Tom! All this time of watching you, I didn't know you are right down the street from me here in Kansas. The next time I'm in Wichita we will be paying you a visit. Thanks for all the great receipts.
Love how you did this Salmon. I have never even considered using a BBQ Glaze on mine, but I am definitely going to try this!! Beautifully done, Chef Tom!!
I like it. Just had some fresh Salmon(and Halibut) shipped in from my Alaskan fishing trip. Always seems to taste better when you caught it yourself. That peanut slaw could be a meal on its own. I love blue cheese in just about anything.
I never remove the skin. I smoke them skin side down with a light coat of olive oil and spg and keep all that beautiful fat to scrape off as I eat it. Afterwards I toss the skin on a medium hot griddle and snack on that. My kids won't eat the skin but they know not to obliterate it. Skins are my dessert.
Hey #atbbqteam can you guys clarify something for me are you in Kansas the state or Kansas the city ? I am a non- American viewer of your channel and it's amazing content. Keep up the good work!!!
This is the first time I totally disagree and am pissed off about one of your recipes. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP BUYING ATLANTIC SALMON. it is farm raised crap fish and the aquaculture industry is destroying wild fish stock all over the world. I am not a tree hugging snowflake, vegan or jackass at all, but I am an avid Pacific Northwest fisherman watching the wild stock of this beautiful fish die off in droves due to the ignorant, deadly greed from these "farmers". it started in Norway spread to Chile and is currently being ignored in the pacific costal waters of Canada. Please do a little research on it an I beg you to stop buying this crap. Hit me up and I will ship you some of the best fish on the planet. Respectfully, Rich
How do we order from you? I buy 5-6 sides a year from local seafood market but I’d rather buy wild if possible. Don’t be pissed. I’d say most of us just don’t know.
@@TMac0925 yeah sorry man, I get passionate about this particular topic. You have to be a lawyer these days just to decifer the fishing regs out here anymore with the dwindling runs of wild fish. If you can PM me somehow, I would be happy to ship you whatever you want at cost. The difference in quality is night and day from the farm raised stuff. I love your channel BTW
@Clara A Because peanuts like all legumes have fiber in them. When eaten, the fiber that's in foods helps to greatly absorb cholesterol. This is a good thing when it comes to bad cholesterol in the body [LDL]. But the good cholesterol in fish [HDL] is most likely absorbed by the fiber contained in a fiber rich food that you consume with a fish meal. This was the reason I commented what I did.
@Clara A LOL 😏, I wouldn't exactly put it like that LOL. You just have to be cognizant of the foods you pair with other foods while you eat. When it comes to fish, it's best to consume it with more leafy green type of veggies instead of the fiber rich ones ☺🌿🌿🌾🌾👍.
@@hostilemgtow603 First off, the amount of fiber in a peanut (which contains both soluble and insoluble fiber) is 12 grams per cup. You would need to consume at least 30 grams daily of soluble fiber (insoluble fiber is useless in this case) to make a major change in cholesterol levels. Also, the legumes are not "absorbing" cholesterol in food as this isn't where the cholesterol in our body is really coming from. Our liver is instead producing the cholesterol through a complicated series of actions and reactions. In this case the some of the Omega-3 fatty acids in the salmon will increase levels of HDL through this process meaning the peanuts won't cause any problems at all.
@@joshcaryatbbq337 I never said that legumes absorb cholesterol, I said the fiber contained in them helps to absorb cholesterol. And how do you know how much fiber each individual out here consumes on a daily basis to make a difference 😐⁉. And i'm also aware of the fact that it's our liver that regulates these organic substances within the body. Our liver also produces carbohydrates naturally within the body too.
