This delicious beef rib was rubbed with homemade chilli oil, salt, pepper and coarse coriander seeds. Smoked for a few hours then grilled over hardwood coals. Great meat served with South Africa's favourite braaivleis companion - "stywe pap en sous".

Tomato relish
∙ 2 cans tomato and onion mix
∙ canola oil
∙ 3 garlic cloves
∙ salt & pepper
∙ 250g white button mushrooms
∙ 2 tablespoons sugar
∙ ½ a beef bouillon cube
Green garnish
∙ ½ a bell pepper
∙ juice of 1 lemon
∙ fresh parsley
∙ 2 tablespoons honey
∙ salt & pepper
∙ green onions
