It would be nice if you could install an ethanol sensor and then dyno the results with just correcting fuel tables. Then full tune with ignition advanced tables. After that do another result with playing around with CAM timing. You can then explain how each change had effects on HP. I've been turning my BRZ and feel that explaining this would give your viewers and idea on how tunners get the most out of NA setups. Turning up the boost is easy but maximizing NA tunes really brings home the fundamentals of combustion engines. With much love - Nathan
Hi!!! I wanted to ask for advice if possible. I have a scion FRS 2014 I had a spec d exhaust before, (bought the car used, it came with it). And I got used catless UEL headers on. After the install, the car was a lot slower than before, and I got a used OFT, to do the stage 2+ tune. I also got a cold air intake (not this one). The tune made it better, but it’s was a lot quicker before the headers, tune and cold air intake I have little to no experience doing this. And I’ve seen people’s say that it takes about 50 miles for the tune to set in. Others say that the cold air intake is causing the issue (the tune specs say to use the stock air box, I didn’t realize this). Do you know anything about this? Would it make it better if I remove the CAÍ? Any guidance would be greatly appreciate 🙏
I would definitely like to see some side skirts installed. I’m still deciding on what skirts to invest in myself, and part of my decision making process is impacted by the way the skirt installs because I know there’s different ways that different skirts are meant to be installed. Thanks 🇬🇺
Maybe be nice to see a lightweight battery install... or a lightweight pulley if you haven't already. Any more weight saving videos would be great - even go as far as a full interior strip to go full race car? It would also be cool to see how you mount your gopro to the car, inside and out, as well as optimal mounting locations.
Never see give aways normally that’s cool. I’d like to see Kevin do a hood video most people don’t know how to install a good properly without it being off centered.
I'd like to see a LiFe battery install, weight reduction is key ;) Also what is the weight difference from the normal intake? I really want a decent intake upgrade but I want to REDUCE weight not add it, and that metal box and hose look considerably heavier than the plastic.
I have a frs as well the orange one this would be a great mod for me except I can't afford this mod just yet 😅 but I would love to see a carbon fiber cracked carbon spoliler that would be Kool.
Since Kev’s sticking to NA for now. Would be awesome to see whether a lightweight pulley system like the Grimmspeed or Perrin ones make any improvement to the cars engine performance ✌🏽
So as much as people would probably want to get this, a CAI is not necessary in these vehicles unless you’re pushing some serious power. But like the vast majority of owners, people stay N/A. So a drop in filter and inlet tube will be just a good and also cheaper. Another thing to consider is that if you use OFT, it is not compatible with CAIs and you’ll need a custom tune. So $500 for the tablet, and another $100 for the custom tune. $600 for marginal gains. It does look good in your bay, and it could help paired with more power generating mods, but if you’re staying N/A, invest your money in other mods before considering a CAI/SRI. This mod would probably make more sense for FI setups with ECUTEK tunning, rather than N/A set ups.
Can you do an overview video and install for the Jackson Racing radiator/oil cooler and maybe a checklist of main parts to get on the track. Also, fog light options for the 2018 BRZ would be great. Install and wiring. I need to get those in by Winter. New BRZ owner and learning a lot. Thank you for the great videos!
Can you do a jdm only episode for us with the 90% jp cars? I have a Gunma brz, and would like to keep any mods factory plus, or jdm. Thanks Edit: still waiting on the flex a's
Hi there, thanks for the detailed install vid intruction. I would like to be entered for the giveaway. My car is sock and that will be an awesome first mod to do on my 2013 FR-S. Also, can you do an install on that RED intake manifold? I dont even know if it will add any HP but it looks rad and sure it will make my engine look great. Thank you!
Alright kevin, here's the sauce. I would be delighted to see you go over front pipe and over pipe, when it comes to bottle necking the exhuast. I'd also like to see, if you domt already have them, end links and sway bars😁please...
Would love to see my name being announced as the winner of the giveaway coz I always wanted one😂 but an installation of all grimmspeed products for frs/86/brz would be great😁🇵🇭
Since you're already installed full bolt-ons to your car. I think you should install some aero pieces like front lip, side skirts, rear spats, or a wing. Those should be good for your FR-S.
Would like to see a comparison with catted vs catless headers (hp, torque, sound... *smell*). Edited to add: Oh, and any possible O2 sensor issues with catless and what to do about them.
Does anybody know if it’s carb legal? I tried contacting grimmspeed but they never got back to me, I just wanna know if I’m gonna have to be switching to the stock intake before getting my smog done
I'd like to see a body kit actually something like the bakers rally, or maybe a nice spoiler. And would there be any major difference in the installing into a GT86? I mean, I know that there is no major difference between those 2 cars on the outside, but it can look different under the hood.
Idk if you’ve already done the give away, but it’d be cool if you went back to stock for a week and vloged your experience. Nvm it’s been more than 3 weeks lol but I think it’d still be a cool video idea
i wanna see tuning videos for intake and headers!!! i wanna get a hks header and intake and wanna eventually tune for it so idk whether to go with OFT or ECUTEK im leaning more to ECUTEK to get a tune more catered to all my exact mods but any info and clearing up of misinformation would be nice to see in a video
I'd like to see an over-pipe install. I've seen people say you have to lift the engine slightly to get clearance to remove the old one or take the heat shield off.
I'd like to see a electrical/wiring install (since I lack a lot of experience/knowledge.) Maybe a radio or even a quick release steering wheel install.
There is not a lot that you guys haven't don't really on other videos, personally some more mods for interior or a wheel an tire combo for stock body with performance spring/coilovers.
Can we get a full function demo of every tail and headlight you guys sell, I wouldn't care if they weren't even fully installed, I just want to see them all working.
Fun fact, if you dont have the cash for an intake, just remove the sound generator tube, go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a cap for like $2 to fit on the exposed end on the inlet tube. It will kill the sound from being pumped into the cabin, and your engine will get a little more air.
