Great Video! Wife and I did the Grinnell Glacier trail from the hotel up to the glacier and back. We got a late start at around 11 am as we had to drive all the way from Kalispell . The going to the sun road was closed at the time. We only stayed at the glacier a short while as we wanted to get back before dark, and just made it back at 6:30pm. It was an epic trip for us. Seeing your hike, makes me want to visit Glacier National Park again. Thanks for posting this!!

Absolutely love these videos from Nolan Ventures! They were great for planning our trip to Glacier. We hiked the Grinnell Glacier Overlook this past Friday, 8/9/24, coming from Logan Pass to the Granite Park Chalet before heading back on the trail to the Overlook, then back down again to the Chalet before hiking to the Loop. Just over 15 miles in a little over 9 hours of hiking. The hike up the trail to the Overlook was beyond brutal, the toughest one mile section of trail we did all week! Not for the faint of heart to be sure but the pay-off at the top is worth it. Make sure to hike up to the right side of the saddle for the real money shot! Can't wait to make another trip to Glacier, maybe meet the Nolan's along the way! Thanks

Mid August ‘23 came from Logan Pass to Granite Chalet. Then backtracked to the junction then up to Grinnell Glacier Overlook. That .6 up was a beast with 900’ of vert on an 88 degree day, but worth it!

Thanks for the video! I’m going to glacier in July and want to do this trail. Forgive my ignorance but that last stretch going to Grinnell overlook doesn’t look too bad in the video. I know you said it’s steep which I definitely can see but I read that the last .8 miles was extremely strenuous and sketchy. Would you say this is true? I know video doesn’t translate to reality sometimes and I just want to be prepared. Thanks

Lovely video! Trying to Decide if we should do this out and back or go back down highline trail to Logan’s pass and take a shuttle back to the loop. Any feedback on this?

That looks like a “puffer”. But, you have an excuse to not keep up with Kim…you have to go slower and stop often to make good footage. Haha. Nice video.
