Grizzly Is Awake - Has Spring Sprung??

After a week of way above normal temperatures, our snow was taking a beaten so we decided to take a little ride in the back to check out the conditions. Since this video was shot, it has gotten even hotter and we pretty well have no snow now. It was good to see that the Grizzly has gotten it's wheelie poppin' ability back. After installing the bigger Zillas, it was unable to do it so we added a 1.5mm shim to the primary clutch. The wheelies are back!! lol

Yeah in Maine we used to have about a foot of snow, then it started reaching the 50s and then 80s. I can't ride anymore because of the mud, haha. oh well, soon ill be buying a grizzly 550. awesome video though, pretty daring to go up the side of that creek!!!

Nope, would never consider it either but think that Kodiak would be awesome for my 15 year old son. It's just I've seen so much of the soles of your feet on that Grizz lol. Great vids Cubbee!

Love the Zilla's. Unfortunately Cubbee was diagnosed with Lyme disease last year and is trying to recover so we can get out riding again. It has been a very slow process so far!

Hey Cubbee, great time of year for a ride. Working my way back through your vids it seems the Kodiak handles grades and climbs much better than the Grizz. Just seeing you navigate the Kodiak up that banks sure is quite the difference. Think you should've put 26" Zillas instead of 27s in hindsight or is it just too much torque coming out of the bottom end of the Grizz?

I don't know if my sportsman 500 will still wheely when I get my 27" mud lite xtrs maybe with a clutch kit I see the grizz still stands up good but it is 200cc more than mine

I have 2011 stock Grizzly 700 and am looking at 27' Zillas did you do anything as far as a clutch kit?Your videos are awesome,Also What mods do you recommend for my 700 EPS Grizzly?

RacingTes80 We just did the little "shim mod" to get some bottom end back when the bigger tires went on. Glad you enjoy the videos. We have left our ATV's stock (other than an exhaust tip on the Grizzly) so can't really recommend any mods...clutch kits are nice and have considered one. Thanks again!

***** Hi Rob. We use RAM Mounts to hold the GPS..you can purchase the "cradle" for your exact model of GPS and then we use the ball mount and an "arm". Really tough! You can check them out at www.rammount.com We usually get our GPS stuff on line from either GPSCity or GPSCentral here in Canada. Hope that helps!

Cubbee for how simple shimming the primary was do you think it's worth losing the small bit of top end for the type of wheeling you do?

+GusgusA1 Didn't really miss the top end as much as I missed the bottom end when the bigger tires went on. For the cost and ease of putting in a shim it was well worth it!

Mud Fish It is very shallow in this spot coming up the creek..maybe only 6" deep.

Haha! and well I've still got about 6000 some dollars to go, but it's a start! and I'd say global warming makes more sense because I don't know of a single country that's actually getting colder
