I really like your setup. I'm picking my new 2072 up tomorrow from Berkeley outdoors. I'll definitely be borrowing some ideas, especially with the seat/rod rack!
@@kraemersfishing4336 yessir, Summerville. My old boat is an old 12ft Sears that I built to be like a little bass boat. I'm super pumped to have all the new deck space.
@@jeSuperfly it’s definitely going to be a big upgrade for sure! It will fish three comfortable. We do shrimping, gigging, fishing, scalloping and family swimming days out of it. You will love it. I’m in Summerville also
@@kraemersfishing4336as per my earlier comment about your upgrades that you did there is a market for them, theres always going to be bass trackers out there. You have something of Value that people need. You have your foot in the door way and that’s a very good start and you have what people need. If I can just bolt it on instead of making it how easy is it for me👍. Just remember you have something of Value here there will always be people for that.
I made it out of 1/2” schedule 40 pipe. I’m not sure if anybody makes it or not I just had the idea in my head. I still gotta add more rod holders, four is not enough.
Hey Jeffrey, no it doesn’t come with anything to mount it. Seat is from a company called Tempress. The bottom of the seat is hard plastic. I took the gas tank hatch off, screwed the seat to the hatch then installed the hatch back into the boat. I used stainless screws with 5200 marine glue on the screws to help prevent screws from getting loose.
I need to get a welding bench/fab station set up like you have. To hell with buying the chinese garbage, especially when a guy can build it himself! Good work bro
Is there enough room for you to put the spare tire mount on top of the center rail and mount your tire laying down in the space between the trailer rail and the bottom of the boat? If so the it would be tucked out of the way
There is enough room, I honestly didn’t even think of putting it there. I already made the mount for the side, I might make one more for when I go on long trips I can carry two spares.
@@kraemersfishing4336 sounds like a good idea. Yeah that space was the first thing I noticed, just couldn’t tell for sure from the video how much room there actually was.
The seat is vinyl. Never had a cordura fabric seat. I spay 303 fabric protectant on the vinyl every month or so to keep it conditioned and UV protection. Never had a problem with vinyl.
Yes make some fishing videos, we understand family and work that’s first. But I think you have the right temperament for making fishing videos as in your last video’s that I seen. What is your fish of choice, or are you un all species kinda guy? I’m sorry I kinda got carried way here, when time allows go for it you will do great. Thank you for letting me ramble on and I will see you next time
We do all species of fish. We do salt water, fresh water, shrimping, gigging, limb lining. Prefer shallow water red fishing is our go to. I do need to start marketing the stuff for the boat, I have a lot of people ask about it. I need to make some more videos of some fishing and more boat upgrades I got done. I appreciate the comments. Sorry it took a couple weeks to reply back.
I heard the same things, but I believe it is the older models. I’ve had mine for a little over a year and I have had no issues at all. I run the boat a lot, been in some pretty rough conditions and nothing stands out to me that is bad. My brother has the same boat grizzly 2072 for 7 years now. His has no issues either and everything is still performing great other than normal wear and tear. Taking his boat out so much I ended up buying same one cause I liked the durability. I wouldn’t hesitate at all. Your gonna love the boat
I have a Mercury 150 four stroke. The boat will do around 50-52 depending on if I’m loaded heavy or not. I normally run about 4000-4500rpm would be about 35mph or so.
Been in some rough water 3-4 foots. Trimmed motor to get bow up and did about 15mph. It was a rough ride but I never felt like the boat couldn’t handle it.
@@kraemersfishing4336 Thanks, man. 👍 Good looking boat! I have a Lund Predator. I have a video of it, but I haven't posted anything since I've done all my upgrades. I'll probably post something new once it gets back from getting serviced.
Nice I’ll have to check it out. You getting yearly service done? I was gonna have my dealer I bought the boat from do mine (warranty purpose), they wanted a little over $500. So I ended up doing it myself just kept the receipts.
@@kraemersfishing4336 I'm having my 20hour service done. I brought it to an authorized Merc dealer so it's in the Mercury records nationwide for warranty.
