Welcome to another grocery haul. We are a Canadian family of six. This week I spent $270 on groceries.

The kids are all stocked up on their lunch snacks now and will have lots to choose from. I can remember buying some of those snacks for my kids when I was in that season of life. It's funny how different we shop now that we are empty-nesters!

Yes, Kerry, we're well stocked (for now). I'm trying to come up with some good, healthy after school snack ideas. I can only imagine how different the shopping is when they all move out. Hurts my heart to even think about them not living under our roof! ♥️ I hope you're having a great week so far! 😊

Hi Lindsay, great video! Nice your Mom was able to pick up some items at Costco for you. We only recently got a Costco card. Costco is one hour east or one hour west of us. The stores are so huge!😳Enjoy the rest of the week!❤

Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Great haul. That's good that the company gave you a coupon to replace your fruit by the foot. I've had to do that with some products in the past. Everything is so expensive. I'm going shopping Friday. I need more produce and lunch snacks. Also bbq items for the weekend 😋. I'll be going to Costco also. They have excellent bagels and snacks for lunches. Can beat their meats. It's unfortunate that you don't have one closer to you. Wow your coffee cream is expensive, ours is 2.97 for a 1Lt. Have a great weekend 😀

Wow, 2.97 for your cream! It's crazy how the price can vary so much province to province. I wish we had a Costco closer too!! My mom goes once or twice a year, and she'll pick me up whatever I ask for. But hard to know what's available when I can't look myself. I love getting school snacks in bulk! A bbq sounds great!! What a good haul😀So interesting to see how prices fluctuate across Canada, as someone from the prairies seeing the bagged milk gets me every time as ours only comes in jugs/cartons!

Thanks, Latisha. It is interesting to compare. Funny that our milk comes in bags and yours doesn't. We also have the jug option, but I find it heavy for my younger kids. 😊

What a great grocery haul, lots of good stuff for the lunchbox treats which I'm sure the kids will be happy about, especially Audrey with the mini birthday cake flavored cupcakes and Emily seemed pretty happy about the garlic stuffed olives, we love them at our house to and always have a jar of them for snacking on when the salty craving hits. We just did a little shopping and were terribly shocked at the price for an 18 pack of organic eggs, at $13.99 for one, but happy when we found a few of them marked at 50% off, so we got two 18 packs for the price of one. One bag of little mandarin oranges were $7.50 again quite expensive and no deals to be found there. No meat other than a few deli meats and cheese, which for 3 items cost us over $20. It was crazy expensive. Good news we get to have my granddaughter here for the weekend, from tonight through Sunday evening, as my daughter and her husband are going away to the mountains North of us for his brothers wedding this weekend, they are excited. It's going to be an adventure for us for sure, it's been quite a long time since I've had to wake up in the middle of the night for a crying baby, and change diapers, but I'm sure it will still be fun. Nothing else new for us here, so I'll be wishing you a good rest of your week Lindsay.

Thanks, Tania. The prices are just outrageous! I don't enjoy shopping now, it's a dreaded chore. When there is a really good sale, often items are gone because we're all in the same boat. I bought those groceries on Saturday, and I feel like I need to shop again. How exciting that you can to have your granddaughter for the weekend! She must bring you so much joy! I hope your daughter and hubby have a nice weekend away too. Getting up through the night won't be so bad when you know it's only a couple of nights. And those sweet baby snuggles will make it worth it anyway. Have a great weekend! ❤️

Great haul, Lindsay! Stocked up on great things at amazing prices!! I was also able to find some of the kids favorite things for $1.47-$1.97 at my local grocery store, too. I don’t shop there that often but I couldn’t pass up on prices like that. And how nice of your mom to get you some stuff from Costco! Hope the week has been a good one so far and that you’ve got a fun weekend ahead of you! 😊

@@mominthemaritimes I feel like I can’t keep up either! Some days, I tell myself no more buying snacks and then other days I want a variety of snacks on hand 😝 I’m trying to find a balance! Also can’t wait for summer fruits to get here. We’ve been enjoying champagne mangoes lately but can’t wait for watermelon!!

@@FeedingMyThree we do cereal too! Ben will often have it after school. Watermelons are so expensive here, last time I saw them in our grocery store they were $13.99! Our mangoes wouldn't be half as good as yours either.
