I swear before the pandemic I used to get everything I needed for my family of 4 for 125 .. we had to up our budget to 150/ 155(and cross our fingers that it's enough) ... It's insane
I just love how your family works together. You can’t fake how caring you all are. Great job, mom! I’m one of 10 siblings and I cannot imagine how much our grocery bill would be today. It used to be cheaper to buy fresh foods and meats, and the processed foods would be more expensive. Now it’s the other way around!

When you said you like taco salad with doritos, it reminded me of an Amazing taco salad we ate as kids. Taco Salad Recipe - Delicious!!! 1-2 lb ground beef or ground turkey Taco seasoning 1 head lettuce (chopped into bite sized pieces) 1-2 C. shredded cheddar cheese 1-3 tomatoes diced 1 small can (or half of can) Kidney Beans -drained (optional) 1 bag Doritos Chips (crushed) 1 bottle Catalina Dressing (similar to French Dressing but sweeter with a slight tang) 1 jar Salsa (optional) Brown meat, drain & add seasoning. (I put meat in crock pot for additional 1-2 hours to tenderize after skillet cooking.) When ready to serve, toss all ingredients together. Top with chips, dressing and/or salsa. Note: Don't combine until ready to eat/serve as this salad gets soggy fast. Or only prepare one serving at a time. Very easy & good, cold summer salad. Omit meat and dairy for a vegan recipe.
Me personally I try to look up the sale papers online at jewels, aldi's, save a lot, fairplay, and compare prices. If something is on sale I try and go and get it if possible, and put it in my deep freezer, pantry, or cabinets. My children when they come over they always say look at yo mama, or ma you don't need nothing else. This pandemic has made me look at things a lot different even tho I was the same way before then....
Food is expensive everywhere. The good thing about where I live is that we can plant our own veggies . And fruits are in season all the while different fruits so it's now mango time so we use mangoes for juices sauces and just enjoy eating them as is. These children nowadays are so lazy so to get your children to help you, without much complaining is a plus they are to be commended.

You are so right. The cost of food has really gone up. Seems more expensive there than on the East Coast. You also have brands that are not on the East Coast. Manufacturers change things up like making smaller ounces but keep packages the same size & raise the price. Love your you tubes. Also, good luck with the new home.

Aldi prices and most of their brands are quality. I was walking out with 2 or 3 bags few months ago but now just a full one. But cheaper than the other stores🤷🏾♀️
I'm just like you I making a list from bj I'm looking at the easiest thing to cook because it's hot outside and that's what I do just like you in the summertime and they always think I should cook breakfast lunch and dinner I said how old enough to do that I have my lazy days but I want to say I do appreciate you sharing with us and showing us what you got and I always look at your Dollar tree Haul then I go to mines and don't see none of those things especially the 99 cent store 😊
No way it would be $100 even a year ago with all that meat. Prices aren’t up that much except in meat. It’s stabilizing where I live. Meat prices have stayed steady for 2 weeks .
Grocery prices have gotten scary! I don’t know how families are going to make it if the prices keep rising. Gas has also gotten ridiculous! I remember when I could do a months grocery shopping for $300. Now it’s lucky if that will get you through two weeks. Tyfs you gave me some ideas on what to make for my kids this week. 👍🏼😊❤️
Oh ya I feel ya on grocery shopping 🛍 I hate spending money 💰 and the CT Gas ⛽️ prices are ridiculous and I feel like going into the stores I used to come out with one bag worth 100.00 and now it’s like what did I buy for that amount of money 💰
My kids know....to put up the dry goods and I'll put my meats up. I break down my meat and put them in ziplock bags. I don't trust them to do that yet.
I agree that grocery prices are fetting ridiculous!!!! Do you ever shop st Sans Club or Costco? I live alone and have found ways to save on groceries and other household supplies at club stores.
Sandies shortbreads have been around for a long time. Sometimes people put them in front of the pecan sandies by mistake. It is always so disappointing to get home and find out you left the pecans at the store. Hate when I do that. Yes, yes, first world problem🤣. It is great your kids worked so efficiently putting the food away!!! I hope you are not moving far away. I love that you review my local stores!!!

Food is expensive especially without and food stamps lol. I too spend that much and much more with my two boys. I don't allow them to help put the food up because they put things in the wrong place lol
I see you shop at Albertsons. I always buy bacon when they have it on their $5 Friday deals. You can get 2 for $5 with no limit. That’s when we stock up and it lasts for about a month.
