Enjoy the trip in Thailand!!! 🇹🇭 I’m Thai . Let me tell you the chicken from there were not really fresh but they were defrosted so they will go bad quick. I recommend Top’s super market it was a bit pricey but it has much better quality. :) . The local market is cheaper but it will be a little bit harder for foreigners to communicate with the local but you will see the local food, fruits etc.

By the way Lotus use to be Tesco Lotus, everything in Thailand if local produce is paying cheaper tax and import groceries is come with a extra cost of imported tax that is not included VAT.

Local products are much cheaper than the west but imported ones are the opposite.

Most imported items usually are more expensive than the local ones. But I'm sure you can find anything you need here. Have fun cooking!

ร้านค้าข้างทางในประเทศไทยที่เป็นเเหล่งนักท่องเที่ยวมักขายราคาเเพง(ราคานักท่องเที่ยว) เเต่ในประเทศไทยมีตลาดเเละร้านข้างทางจำนวนมาก ซึ่งคุณสามารถเลือกซื้อได้ เเละฉันเเนะนำให้ใช้grabเเทนการเสี่ยงที่จะถูกโกงจากเเท็กซี่ในประเทศไทย ขอให้เที่ยวอย่างสนุก

2:56 I think it is called “Longan”, not Lychee. I love them and I usually eat them all at once 😋 BTW, most of the Lotus or Big C they will carry imported goods sections (fruits, dry foods, etc) and most of them are expensive. You will find a better imported selections in Villa Markets or Tops.

Let me remind you checking up discount value bar code (80-150 bahts= 2-4 £ for next time saving shopping ) at the lower (the lowest) part of buying items....Tesco Lotus Thailand

We use palm oil. Olive oil is very expensive as they are imported.

Cost you a lot less than here in the UK its way more expensive here now, in fact my advice would be not to come back , great video guys cant wait for the next one .. A fan in Newcastle upon Tyne.

ผลิตภัณฑ์นม เนย ชีส ในประเทศไทยมีคุณภาพแต่ยังไม่ดีมากพอเท่ากับนมโคจากประเทศเขตหนาว ประเทศไทยสภาพภูมิอากาศร้อน วัวนมมีโรคเยอะ และแม่วัวให้ผลิตนมต่ำ ต้นทุนค่าวัตถุดิบอาหารสัตว์แพง คนเลี้ยงน้อยลงและคนไทยไม่ค่อยนิยมบริโภคนมวัวเพราะแพ้นมวัว ทานแล้วท้องเสีย อีกทั้งรัฐบาลมีการปรับขึ้นภาษีน้ำตาลในของหวาน ราคานมจึงค่อนข้างแพง

Hi, please how easy is it to find a condo in Thailand and to learn Thai please? I was adopted from Bangkok by Swedish parents and I grew up in Sweden, but I don't speak Thai. I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old. Interesting video. Trying to learn Thai but it's daunting.

Frozen products in Thai supermarket sucks, 7-11 has the best. Cooking oil in Thailand is mainly Palm Oil, which is a lot cheaper than Olive oil. Thai cuisine usually cooks with high heat, which is not good using Olive Oil. Best all round Cooking Oil here is Rice Bran Oil. It cost a bit more but you don't really use it that much. Basically cooking ingredient for Western cuisine will be imported. So it would be a lot cheaper if you switch to Thai cooking. And once you experienced using a lot of ingredients and herbs, you can never go back.

Wine in malaysia has taxes. So are more expensive. 80 ringgit until above 100 ringgit 1 bottle because usd is very high compared to ringgit.

All types of Thai products There must be international standards. Do not contain contaminants. If there is no standard Can't sell it, it's against the law and you'll get arrested.

You think you pay western produce is expensive how about if I told you that I pay for thai mango in Australia is costing me $25 AUD per kilo, Durian is costing me $65 bucks per kg that is 1560 bath per kg and I still have to pay for it if I want to eating it just to make it. feeling like home

The truth is that the cost of food shopping in Thailand in Lotus is now more expensive than shopping in Tesco in the UK. You can even get better deals in the UK at BM / LIDL / ALDI etc. I've been here three years and can actually eat for far cheaper in the UK now than Thailand. Its shocking when you add up the cost over the month.

If you buy import stuffs it is quite expensive than UK.Strawberry is cost the same ,if you buy it in winter in UK.I haven’t been back home since the pandemic, I think everything has gone up. ถ้าคุณเปรียบเทียบราคากันแล้วเมืองไทยกับอังกฤษ เมืองไทยจะแพงกว่าเพราะรายได้ที่ไทยน้องกว่าอังกฤษอย่างน้อยสสี่เท่า แรงงานขั้นตํ่าต่อวัน ที่นี่ไม่เกิน 500 บาทต่อวัน แต่ที่อังกฤษแรงงานขั้นตํ่าอยู่ที่ 450 บาทต่ชั่วโมง ที่ไทยแพงมากตอนนี้
