I kinda like the idea of single man in Thailand apartment cooking videos. Showing us how to eat random meals and saving a few bucks. 👍

Chicken rice is about 60-70 baht a meal like most dishes. Daily food budget of 300 baht (8.6 dollar) is enough for 1 person. Cooking at home is only gonna save you money if you like to eat a lot of meat.

What you may need to know is that Makro and Lotus supermarkets are owned by the same person, CP Group, and Makro is cheaper because it is a wholesale market for shops and restaurants.

I love videos like this, thank you Isaiah, very informative. Everything was ridiculously cheap. I'm curious to know how they priced the seafood per unit of weight. I actually wouldn't mind a 2 hour grocery shopping video lol, which includes items you would get at a hardware store, and an electronics store. That gives me a thorough understanding.

There is actually a COSTCO in Bangkok called TOPS CLUB! Costco and Tops Market have partnered up to offer Bangkokians a Costco warehouse shopping experience. At Tops Club you will find the KIRKLAND brand food and merchandise. KIRKLAND is the house brand for Costco. Tops Club is located on the outskirts of Bangkok next to Central Rama 2.

Eating plant based and partially raw foodist can see the potential in Thailand. Already saving in the states not eating meat and processed foods so I can only imagine the local markets produce prices and quality. Some of the prices here for salmon seem comparable US at present. For me, it's not about how long this video takes. It's about how much you you could enter into a single story and find almost everything you need, including help us do a price comparison in relation to our countries. There are definitely some countries you go where this business is a disaster. In order words, you encounter scarcity of basic items on a regular basis, which means you have to go from one store to another and yet, you're not guaranteed finding all your needs.
