I am a dogsitter animal care person and over the years that has included all kinds of grooming. I didn't want to spring for expensive clippers, since I have one client that is a giant 80lb bernedoodle, so I bought a pair of the $20 Chinese clippers off Amazon with the same blade setup as your Codex. They are very quiet and work well on face and abdomen. The one I bought has a removeable and replaceable generic 18650 battery that lasts a long time. I had the dog for over a month and I needed to take the whole coat down and I didn't want to 10 blade her whole body. I actually had to scissor her to get the coat short enough to slicker, wash and then shave. I used a comb with the blade which jammed up frequently, but I just kept snapping it off and brushing it off and oiling before it caused pain. We worked in bits. I did get the blade jammed up with fur towards the end and had to finish the groom with scissors. The clipper didn't seem to have the torque to work through some heavy black hairs around her rear end or probably my blade was just had hair between the blades by then. If you have to oil a blade a lot, also a good idea to maybe wipe off excess untill the blade is more worn in. If I had had more backup blades it would have helped. I don't recommend these clippers for that job with combs at all, but . . . I went online to Aliexpress and you can now actually not only get the replacement 10 to 40 adjustable blade for pretty cheap, and/or a 5 pack of just the ceramic blade parts, they also sell equivalents to a 5 blade and a 7 blade blade in mm sizes which were not available before. Although, they are close to $20 a piece for the 5 blade equivalent, which is all I paid for the clippers. Make sure to examine your blade and the blade photos carefully before ordering, because I think there are two styles around. Anyway, these Chinese clipper are light and quiet and actually work pretty darn well if you need clippers infrequently, or just for the face so you can use a gentle leader or make you dog see better. Dog loves to see better and is always happy to have her face trimmed up even though she is less happy about all the rest.
zr is super heavy compared to bucchelli. I don't have one anymore, but I couldn't handle the weight of zr. Zr runs a little faster on highest speed, but when it kills your wrists, that super high speed isn't worth it. IDK what else I can compare that I didn't go over in the video. Seriously, you don't need the highest speed on the zr. Plus the zr can be a little sketchy & die suddenly from what I've heard. I simply can't just them.
The Codos is a piece of junk. The blade is cheap and dulls quickly. Even the sharpeners will tell you that. You get what you pay for. And what is the difference between using combs with regular or wide blades? Same theory.
