When I was like 8 or 9 years old I heard this exact version of this song on a CD my stepdads friend burned for me. It was track #6 and it was my absolute favorite thing in elementary school to listen to. Damn ... Finding it now as I'm about to turn 30 really sets me back
Used to have all of Groove Coverage and Cascada's songs on a playlist whilst I played WOW and Silkroad Online back in 2007. Man times were much simpler.
The last that ever she saw him, carried away by a moonlight shadow, He passed on worried and warning, carried away by a moonlight shadow, Lost in a riddle that Saturday night, far away on the other side, he was caught in the middle of a desperate fight, and she couldn't find how to push through. The trees that whisper in the evening, carried away by a moonlight shadow, Sing the song of sorrow and grieving, carried away by a moonlight shadow, All she saw was a silhouette of a gun, far away on the other side, He was shot six times by a man on the run, and she couldn't find how to push through. I stay, I pray, I see you in heaven far away. I stay, I pray, I see you in heaven one day. Four a.m. in the morning, carried away by a moonlight shadow, I watched your vision forming, carried away by a moonlight shadow, Star was glowin' in a silvery night, far away on the other side, Will you come to talk to me this night, but she couldn't find how to push through. I stay, I pray, I see you in heaven far away, I stay, I pray, I see you in heaven one day.
Ich war 3 Jahre alt als das Lied rauskam. Habe es 2 mal bei meiner viel älteren Cousine gehört, und seitdem hat sich das Lied in meinen Kopf gebrannt. Wollte dann unbedingt die CD haben. Echt krass 😁
When someone recommended this to me I was absolutely horrified that such a thing existed, as I grew up with the original. I listened to it, and much to my surprise I like it. It is a good cover.

Széchenyi Chain Bridge, designed by a William Tierney Clark, and essentially a scaled-up version of his bridge in Marlow on the Thames. Mike Oldfield, who wrote this song, was born in Reading, a few miles up river from that bridge in Marlow. The bridge in Budapest and Marlow are the only two surviving which were designed by Clark.
2000,2003,2006 and 2021 😢😢the music of the past was very different from now, we used to enjoy the strains of the vocals and the strains of the music. now the music is original
