In this video I once again deal with a ground wasp nest removal this time using only delta dust. This products works great on wasp and hornets, it has a slow knock down time but is easily spread to others as they swarm around me during the removal of the nest. Please as always like and subscribe to help me reach my next goal of 50,000 subs were half way there. Stay tuned for more wasp and hornet nest removals.

What are you using to apply the Delta dust? I need one of those. Most of the nests that I find on my property, I pour gas on them then light them up but we have had a nest or two where I couldn't burn them out.

I got two maybe more but definitely two yellow jackets nest in the ground less then 20 ft from the house none have attacked me, wifey, or the kids yet but I’m scare they might if I’m not able to handle it Thanks in advance

Is it strange that I removed a in ground nest a few nights ago and I'm getting wasps still hanging around the area where the nest was? It was two nights ago. yesterday there was a decent number of yellow jackets seeming to look for the nest. Today there are far fewer in numbers. I guess my question is, is this normal? I don't remember this ever occurring before when I removed a nest. My worry is there is either ANOTHER nest or their building a new one. Although there is no hole left in the ground for them to go in/out.

You can puff it around you for sure I do here and there. I used to lightly coat my shoes with it because they go for your feet allot
@paulf2529
@paulf2529 3 года назад
In real life there is no need to even get a massive swarm. Dust the nest entrance with a couple of puffs from a duster and poles. Get paid and leave. If you really want to remove the nest then do it the next day when all dead. This is filmed for dramatic effect rather than how a pestcontrol company would normally operate. Makes for great content though!!!
@wasphunter7131
@wasphunter7131 3 года назад
I used to work in pest control Paul you are correct. Now I just do removals you would not believe how many nests I treat that pest company’s could not get rid of. I prefer to remove the nest right there to make sure there won’t be a reservice needed. For hornets and ground wasp the dust alone will eliminate them with ease, for the tricky ones inside wall voids the dust never seems to get them I’m always coming and being begged to remove the nest because the pest company’s couldn’t get rid of them. Really depends how big the nest in the wall is I guess they are normally massive when the other company’s dust and spray treatments don’t do the trick.
@seraphx26

@@wasphunter7131 I got lucky with the German yellow jacket nest I dealt with a month ago, they were built into the corner of the window frame where it had cracked, three big puffs of tempo they were dead by the next morning, I'm guessing they weren't very deep into the wall void but just around that corner of the frame. I did see a handful of foragers that must have been outside the nest when I treated, they were around for a day or so, wouldn't actually land around the nest, just buzzed around the area and flew off, and then disappeared completely.
@janerawlinson4617

I think they may be a bit more than unhappy with you lol still think the dust takes to long to kill them there must be a better way
@wasphunter7131
@wasphunter7131 3 года назад
You know this week my supplier was out of delta dust, so I tried out tempo dust this week. While it’s like 50% more cost wise it really knocked them down much faster I was super impressed with how many were laying completely dead from the dust treating with it.
@seraphx26
@seraphx26 3 года назад
@@wasphunter7131 Tempo is what I use as well, a little more expensive as you said, but damn does that stuff work well, it goes to work on contact, it's a little bit more dangerous for humans than Delta as well and it won't hold up to moisture like Delta does. Drione is even better than Tempo but the cost difference isn't worth it in my opinion, being that it's between 48.00-52.00 a pound, one thing Delta has going for it is the low price.

How long does the dust take to kill them?
@wasphunter7131
@wasphunter7131 3 года назад
Typically 15-20 min. It acts slow so they are able to spread to others. Imo it’s the best choice of pesticide for wasp just because they end up doing most the work for you. Sprays are only affective till they dry and often require multiple treatments when as the dust never goes away so as others return hours later it’s just as affective.

They’re all swarming you not knowing this is their last roundup.🤣 I’m no tree hugger, but how environmentally friendly is that dust? My wife is thinking about putting in a garden in our backyard.
