Watched several scenes in '92 and. this brought back a lot of memories. Bill even gave me a goofy wave as he was going to his trailer. They where in town three or four full months and did all those scenes on location all around the square. GREAT STUFF. Thanks.

Terrific. Obviously so much effort was put into this. Special effects were great. I love Groundhog Day and although I knew it was filmed in Woodstock, but I had no idea every scene was on location, even things like the bowling alley!!!

This was done so damn WELL!!! Truely amazing work. And I am very happy I took the time and watched this. Mostly it would appear that good old Punxy is almost still the same. That diner though, what a tragedy being what the new owners did to it. Don't you hate it when people change iconic places?

Your video was awesome, thanks for sharing, but I am bummed out out. I had watched this movie a million times and I always thought it was filmed in Punxsutawney, Pa. Oh well, I guess you learn something new everyday.
Yikes!! Instead of "dog barking"... Herve said "Werewolf howling"..... then he put "The Howling" sound effect. That noise still sends shivers down my spine.
Went to Chicago in 2002. Stayed with some friends in Woodstock for the week. On day two, we were walking past the old downtown. Kind of freaked me out. Deja vu. "Uhh, this is weird. I feel like I've been here before!" Friends started laughing. "You've seen Groundhog Day, haven't you?" Turned out I was staying in Faux Punxsutawney!
Very cool to see all those locations after all these years but I think I was more impressed by your ability to incorporate yourself into different scenes. At first I thought it was just lining up shots exactly how they were and mixing the shots but then the shot with you in the bed, whoa! Seriously, how did you pull that off??

I had an empire built with my old channel... and then theTube took it down. And all I could say was.... "What the shit, someone could see my videos and say, man that looks like a good moive I will go buy it" Free promotion like you said. IT"S F'ed up. It's not like we are getting paid. 5:52 the camera is basically at my front door...when I lived in Woodstock (moved to Carpentersville after I left my ex). Turn around and look up and my son's bedroom window is on the second floor in the middle.

Good ole Woodstock We wanted to be extras in the movie but they had enough already. Met Bill Maury and he wasn't that nice. Maybe a bad day but he could have been nicer. I live near Woodstock Illinois
