I'm sure you probably won't see this, but I thought I'd try. I am a big sufferer of anxiety and depression. I hit an all time amazing high August of last year when a monster came to my city and went into Walmart and picked off 22 people. I'm a retail employee and was supposed to be working in the next building over. Circumstances had me take the day off. Anyway, your videos were suggested. I had tried before but didn't feel I could keep up. I found your videos for anxiety. You've changed my life. I'm still learning and struggling but whenever I feel overwhelmed I go to one of your videos. I'm now doing them daily in quarantine and am interested in learning more. Thank you for this

That was beautiful, just what me & my monkey mind needed today. Before practice I was anxious, and could stop my mind from jumping about everywhere. So glad to see this one on the calendar again. The last time six months ago I was simply too tired and not as engaged with it. Today, I once again felt the subtle aspects, even more than previously. If you are new to practice, do not be discouraged if you do not feel or understand everything. There will always be peaks and valleys, ups and then downs again. But over time, you will intuitively notice those areas where you can move more fully into poses. 💜🙏🏼 Meditate day 13. 770 days in a row.🌱🌳
Thank you for your words of inspiration. I am new to YWA, having started her ROOT series for April 2023 on the 1st of April. I'm not new to yoga but I have a new mindset going into my yoga practice this time around. I am in awe of people who have 30+ days in a row of yoga. 365 or more days in a row sounds like such a huge number and I instantly become discouraged. I know what works for me and 30 days at a time is doable. I am just plugging away days at a time so I can keep going. Thank you for sharing! 💙🖤✨

Sun is shining and melting snow here where I live. REFRESH Day 21, enjoyed the tree pose today, I could even breath deep while at the pose. Just so happy I can finally after many years take a deep breath without feeling tightness on my back muscles. Lovely day to all of you
I find it so beautiful that this was the practice chosen for today's free yoga calendar/playlist. Nine years after this video comes out, and it's exactly what I needed today. I haven't been following along since we wrapped up our month of yoga in January, but maybe this is my sign to return. A lovely grounding practice on a day that I sorely needed to reconnect with myself and the earth. Thank you, Adriene, for reminding me that we're all connected.
Closing my eyes was so adventurous... I fell down twice, but in acceptance. Also, it is a fact that my feet are not that cute, but hey, I love them! And now, after looking at them with love and as one of my strongest foundations, I love them even more! Thank you Adriene! Happy Mama Earth day!!!

I've done this practice multiple times, this is the first time I had fun with it. Singing "I've got the whole world in my hands". And really making it my own Lol. It was fun! Thanks Adriene for being you and doing all of this for us!! This practice of connecting all the dots and untying all the knots has been my "meditation" for life. I'm truly grateful!!!!!

Looking back on this past year, my balancing has improved tremendously, but it behooves one who has balancing issues to practice, practice, and more practice. Besides doing balancing in a yoga session, I'll practice outside, in stores and out in the public. The four points on our feet and core centering will help and improve one's balancing. Thanks kiddo!

I got frustrated in the warrior two on the other side because even though with yoga I've evened out a lot of my imbalances, my warrior twos are nowhere near the same level. However after the practice I lay down in savasana to connect to a little gratitude. I told myself to keep up with the good work on the imbalances but not to feel so bad about them. It's Earth day and that really helps me to put things into perspective; there are far bigger problems to actually worry about... Let's make every day Earth day and find what feels good!🙏🏻🍀🥰
Was so delighted to find this Earth Day practice in Adriene's playlist, bc today is Earth Day 2022! And my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed these grounding poses :) We are going to take our mats out this afternoon & try to find a good spot where we can see the mountain range (sending much love from Denver, Colorado, USA!) so that we can ground & attempt to do tree pose in stillness. My mind is often on overload, so I really want to try to accomplish clearing my mind while connecting to Earth Mother

Build, April 22, 2024. I did this one for the first on Earth Day in 2023. At the time, I was dipping my toes into the YWA vibe and hadn't quite found my footing with the practice yet. Or I found some of the days too challenging. This year I believe a groove is found and what was once a challenge is soaked in and is all flowing like air and water. This month of Build has affirmed strength and improvement. Namaste. 😊💙

Just finished HOME and decided to jump into whatever video was on the calendar today. As someone who has always been "balance-challenged" (aka clumsy), it was a shock that I only fell over once! Adding a daily yoga session with Adriene is the best decision I've made in a long time.

I love reading the comments. Everyone's stories are so inspiring. Im happy to share that my left leg and right leg have balanced out now during tree pose! Before my left foot would slip off, and it was a total struggle. Today, it was like it'd never happened. Hopefully that balance contunues. Love you YWA community and Mother Earth. ♥️

Apr 21, 2022 05:56 Intention : seek balance by connecting to nature This practice reminds me to hug a tree for healing, occasionally take off my shoes and walk to feel the earth on my skin, and ultimately if budget allows, come and hear the sound of the sea. For the meantime in our busy life this practice is perfect for me to stay grounded and be at the present moment and today I challenge myself to close my eyes in tree pose, although I fall, I could close my eyes for three seconds and I am happy I did the challenge. P.S. I love I can watch the changes in Adriene's videos throughout time! The changes in how transitions are presented, the way she speaks, everything. It encourages me to start my so longly delayed channel (not about yoga, though).
Today I'm saying goodbye to my old job and collegues. Even though I'm content with my decision, it's still going to be an emotional moment. This practice was perfect for slowing down my racing thoughts and for realizing that I can get through this grounded and slow, I don't have to rush this. Thank you Adriene!

I really appreciated the non-harming message at the end. I hope it'll be elaborated more in a future video. I'm a recovering perfectionist and I often struggle with feeling frustrated that a pose I'm doing isn't "perfect" when there are numerous other measures that prove my daily yoga practice is working.

I have been feeling restless and out of sorts today. Finally decided to try a little meditation, a short yoga practice and then a lavender oil bath. This was definitely the right practice and I feel much more centred and grounded now. Good choices made today 🙏💞

I love this practice. Some will think I'm crazy, but I really feel grounded, focused and energized every time I do it! Especially, my breath stays slow and calm, even when I'm rushing around doing the tasks of the day. Thank you Adriene. This is a real gift!

Enjoyed this practice in 2017 and not on Earth Day because EVERYDAY should be Earth Day. I will definitely be returning to this practice, I feel so grounded and connected. Although your beautiful Love Letter arrived today and guided us to Yoga For Forgiveness and my heart is with you always Adriene ☺️🙏 I followed the calendar today for that slow, slow grounding sequence. I had to breathe with you to slow myself down 🙄 ! It was a very calming but strengthening practice. In our balancing tree poses, with respect to my arthritis felt and ankles, I just played with it, as you suggested, focusing and balancing a little and doing a bit of yoga for the feet here and there 😊👍 all good.
