In her message, the Princess was so graceful, dignified, warm and exuded amazing strength and conviction as a woman who is doing her best for her health, her family and her duty. She didn’t blame anyone, she wasn’t angry, she didn’t lecture and she had every right to do that after the way she has been treated in the media. This is royalty! To all those that piled on no matter what you say in the form of an apology, you will still have put that out in the universe. Yes, these are people that are angry, but they need to look into their own souls. Catherine couldn't have done it better. She showed us all grace and dignity under adversity. We owe her the same. What irks me is how some people state that they didn't know Catherine had cancer and had they have known they wouldn't have said such things but that's no excuse. I hope they feel guilt and I hope that they never have to go through what Catherine has had to go through. Catherine, Princess of Wales has such a beautiful soul, she did not deserve to be treated the way she had been, I wish her nothing but the best and hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.

Cancer announcement or not, we knew she was having surgery, she asked for the details to be private and she said she would return to her duties after Easter. People should have left it at that. Not sure who, what or how "Where is Kate" started, but the hateful people behind it really do need to focus on their own lives. Wishing you a speedy recovery Catherine.

It’s too little, too late, for Sorry. To say the didn’t realise that Catherine Princess of Wales may be seriously ill, after being told she was undergoing such major surgery it would require two weeks in hospital and 3 months recovery time is pathetic. The way Catherine has been treated and bullied and beaten into this corner, and the UK media reporting to be speaking on behalf of the nation with the delusion, can never be taken back.

Exactly Laura! So many ppl suffer w chronic pain, or w life-threatening diseases, or genetic mutations that cause disability; many that are not obvious to an on looker. I've known ppl who survive cancer, & then go back to their mostly normal lives; while others suffer for decades with other illnesses. Often, the 'silent sufferers' receive little compassion or understanding. It's once the big "C" word is said, that ppl start taking a persons struggle seriously. I understood when they said Catherine would be having surgery, but recovering for 3 months, that it was likely very serious, &/or something she had been dealing with a long while. I was waiting patiently for 'after Easter' to arrive. What these prominent ppl have done is show how little compassion they actually have for the suffering of other ppl.

They asked for privacy, said that by Easter we would see Cate again, why was that not good enough?... A couple of the apologies were half-hearted at best. Blake Lively couldn't even state Catherine's name let alone her name with title. Everyone was told Catherine was having abdominal surgery and was given a timeline for her recovery which was a realistic timeline for abdominal surgery. We were told the surgery went well and she was recovering well. Why do we need to know more? Well within that timeline all this poisonous crap started....where's Kate? (Thats a dead give away they're trying to demean her), shes exactly where we were told she'd be. I find it a bit hard to understand why these people think its ok to mercilessly hound her while recovering from surgery but now its cancer theyll pull their head in. The up side is, many people have shown their true colours and I certainly will not waste my time or regard on them in future

Knowing the truth just makes all this so much worse. I could not imagine being made fun of by celebrities and the media while trying to figure out how to tell my children I have cancer. It was so dehumanizing. She seems like such a kind, wonderful, genuine woman. I hate that she went through all this added stress. Then she has enough grace to let other cancer patients know they are not alone. The media really needs to reign it in.

Lots of people should be ashamed of their nosiness, rudeness, attempts to be clever, and general all out bad manners and lack of kindness and compassion. People deserve their privacy no matter who they are and what they do. I think Princess Catherine's behavior (so dignified and straightforward) was a wake-up call to many who have allowed themselves to be swept up in today's demand to know to know details of other people's lives. Princess Catherine is the very precious jewel in our crown. Her statement was dignifed, poised, brave. This woman who is beautiful inside and out has really been targeted NOW ALL who have been utterly cruel and ignorant NEED to QUIT. You have the true facts now. All of us when we are given devastating news have the choice to either keep it to ourselves or share with those we choose to share it with. This young woman who has NEVER put a toe out of place has once again acted with such amazing grace, in the worse of circumstance and NOT even scolded those who have been downright bullies and malevolent towards her. Apologize is the least that they should be doing! The only real way to apologize is to NEVER do it again. NOW leave them in peace to be able to concentrate on what is important here the recovery of Princess Catherine.

My son was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma 2010 he had 4 different regime of aggressive chemo therayp but he had to have a stemcell transplant to keep him alive he had a wonderful lady donor from america she saved his life wevwill be forever grateful 14 years on he is doing well princess catherine will get through this she is stoic like my son my prayers are with her and all of her family i know what they are going tjrough

I am praying for our dear, lovely Princess! I pray for her full recovery and a long, long, long life with her family. Cancer is a disease that has a lot to do with stress and our beloved princess should live in peace surrounded by love, that's what this golden soul deserves. None of the people who knew her in her childhood and young years before marriage ever said anything bad about her, they all knew her as a gentle, good girl. We also got to know her as a gentle and good woman, over the many years of her public life. Her brother-in-law and his wife have been defaming her at every opportunity in recent years, and she has suffered greatly as a result. This should never happen. I hope that these two will be prevented from attacking the Princess and her family in the future.

I've experienced similar health issues myself, so I felt something must have been discovered during the initial surgery.
