Yeah, an apology is better than nothing but I’m baffled by the fact that an adult thought it was appropriate to post a pic mocking a person that at the time had already shared she was struggling with her health. Blake knew Kate was sick, and she thought posting that pic was okay, what does knowing it’s cancer change? Nothing. This is at best a sign of deep immaturity and at worst it displays a total lack of empathy for others.

It was so easy for so many to bully Catherine as she was recovering from surgery, but many of these bullies haven't tried to apologize now that she has shared her devastating news. "Making a joke" of someone's life is bullying, plain and simple, whether you are royal or not. Catherine has more class in her little finger than these bullies have in their whole bodies. I don't see how attacking Blake Lively with overblown, unfair language helps Catherine or anyone else. You're basically doing to Lively what people did to Catherine, just at a different scale: brigading social media with attacks, refusing to accept her apology for a communications misstep, etc. I think one of the lessons Catherine would want people to learn from her recent experience is to think twice about attacking someone online. Be careful about jumping on the bandwagon. You never know what someone might be going through. There are plenty of powerful people out there doing real harm to their fellow humans or the planet. If you want to attack someone, direct your anger towards those people. Instead of lashing out at whatever celebrity is in the news for a small misstep or communications faux pas.

Photoshopping a photo of her family to help with her image of physical illness, pale face, weight loss, and weakness during the first weeks of chemotherapy for cancer treatment is nothing compared to how extensively Kim Kardashian and Blake Lively's images are photoshopped to make them look decent on their best day. The saddest thing is all the celebrities should understand what it feels like to be a public figure, to want your privacy at a time like this ESPECIALLY if you have young children... if it was them being made fun of by the global media and having to disclose a serious medical condition they're not ready to share, they would be expressing how furious they are everywhere... I cried and cried when I heard she was sick w/ cancer. She’s so lovely. Years ago, I remembered when she turned and looked at the crowd just as she was going in. She had just gotten married. She smiled so beautifully and with so much heart. It was the sweetest and kindest moment. Love and admire her so much. God SPEED her in her recovery. 🙏
