It's YT channels such as yours that I return to time and time again for peace, tranquility, beauty and respite from the insanity that surrounds us out in the wider world, if it weren't for content makers like yourself I would go bonkers. I'm almost 60 and have never lived through times as bleak and troubling as I'm living through now. Living in the UK we have been blessed with relative peace but I fear that is rapidly coming to an end. I hope I will be proved wrong. I love that you don't have music, I dislike heavily "manufactured" content where things are delivered in a fake cinematic style, I like it to be natural, relaxed, not forced or choreographed or fake, just lovely authentic people living a simple life. x

Loved the nitro when you said everything is real. I get so tired of watching these young girls, in their ethereal, flowing dresses, twirling around and leaping in the grass and flowers. Seriously! That is not anybodies reality. The arched arbor is such a charming entrance. God's music. There is no sweeter tune. We do have to be In this world... but we don't have to be OF this world. That is why we have blue sky's, rainy days, nature and gardens and forests and critters. They are what we need to embrace. And let the outside noise and turmoil drift away. Don't give it one moment of your peace. Sacred,,, what a marvelous , yet so seldom used word. It encompasses such a depth of feeling. As a new viewer, I am so happy i got to put a face to the tranquil voice. Yes, there is a heaven on earth if we choose to see it.

I am very glad that you have that resiliency, as I have come to depend somewhat on your inspirational, lovely videos! A few years ago, after watching your videos, I thought I could try to do at least a little something, so I did some research and found out how to change my sad little lawn into a tiny meadow with native grasses and perennials that would help solitary bees and bumblebees and the like. Now, it's only about a humble 20 feet by 20 feet, but the plants have grown, and the bees seem to enjoy them. If you hadn't been creating your videos and sharing them, the little meadow wouldn't exist. You have a positive influence on the larger world, even in your solitude, a few thousand miles away.

We need people like you to show us how easy it can be to change our environment and our attitude towards mother earth ❤. I have followed you for a few years now. Keep up your excellent work 😊xx.

Colette, I have been fortunate to follow you for 7-9 years. You have been my inspiration and you have saved my sanity many times. I live in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. It’s surely a different climate than beautiful Ireland but with the encouragement I have always felt from you I have been able to turn my home and gardens into an oasis. I appreciate all of the videos you post they are a precious gift. They refresh and reframe things for me in a uplifting way. To be truthful if im feeling a bit anxious I light my lavender candle turn on your videos and take a deep breath, cosseting all that I see of you, Patsy, peaceful forest and garden, birds and other creatures that may pop up. It's magic, love to you and Patsy.

Everything is lovely and if I was there I certainly would have my feet up and relaxing. Away from all the chaos in the US.

We live in a cottage in rural Ireland that we bought twenty years ago. There is half an acre on the property and there was no flower beds it was all grass in the front and out the back. That's great I thought to myself all I have to do is cut the grass. One day my wife said to me she wanted me to dig a flowerbed and I said do I have to and she said you do. Off I went to the hardware shop to buy a spade and started digging, great I thought to myself job done that's me off the hook. But oh no she wanted me to help her plant the perennial flowers she bought and then told me I had to look after the flower bed. I had about as much interest in gardening as the man on the moon. My wife bought a book on gardening and told me to read it, which I did and no flowers died that first summer. So off I went digging and digging and planting and planting. Now there are four flower beds and fifty eight pots in the front garden. My wife has no interest in gardening and tells me it looks like a mini garden centre. Out the back there is grass and at the bottom of the garden there are Containers for carrots, a no dig veg bed a glasshouse, water barrels and a three bay compost system. My next project is to put two big no dig flower beds in the back garden. I can split a load of perennials in the front garden and plant them into the no dig beds and I have loads of homemade compost that I will use in the no dig beds.

I haven‘t listened to the news for years. And I feel better with that.

Please don't quit RU-vid. I would miss your videos more than any other creator. Beltane cottage is my escape. My mother is from Omagh and I always wanted to move to the island and connect to the land, I always just felt "right" when I came for a visit

Sacred - yes that is what enchanted woods look like. The light, the seasons, the moss, the ferns, the diversity, the amazing shades of green, the artistry of the leaves and the feeling of peace found in Mother Nature. Colette, there are plenty of people all over the world who see what you see and feel what you feel. I find it encouraging that there is a large and impressive movement of young people who have picked up the Baton so to speak. I'm old and I still work hard in my garden yet I feel that I(we) do live enchanted lives. I do what I can to protect and honor Mother Nature on our land. Still, I find that I like to occasionally wear my white hair long and wear a fancy flowing dress and enjoy a beverage in our hidden Secret Garden corner with a swing, fairy lights and a water feature:). My neighbor is only fifty and is also an all-organic gardener, providing habitats and planting natives. She's no-nonsense and wouldn't be caught dead in a flowing dress.

High heaven, surely! The uglier things get "out there", the more important simple, true beauty is. You do this for yourself, for Nature, and all of us watching - no wonder you're knackered! At one of the lowest moments in my life, the simple true beauty of a single rose (the Austin 'Heritage') pulled me back This heart connection is rarely objectively recognised or valued, but gosh, how critical to our well-being. And I too have to trawl for longer to find uplifting content on YT these days - often time then to give it up and go for a walk in the garden! Not to put any more pressure on you to produce, only when your heart moves you. Thanks again.

Solitary life is not for everyone I know but a lot of people do it. Not all by choice. Personally, being surrounded by nature, perhaps a small pet for company would suit me fine. I am a bit of a loner anyway. I have coaltits nesting in my bird box at the moment. I renovated it last year, hoping for bluetits which had used it before. Delighted to have coaltits though. Your place looks like heaven. If you feel like a break from RU-vid take one. You are the boss. Your diehard followers would understand and wait for you. The weather is set to sunny. I have recently learned more about no mow May it seems it’s better to adopt a no mow Summer because the bees birds insects and all wildlife establish themselves around May and then are decimated once we start mowing again in June so that’s what I’m doing the neighbours don’t like it but that’s ok they don’t need to. Your videos are a tonic for me Collette and your 3 acres of paradise are just wonderful thank you ❤

I think your garden and home have never looked more beautiful! Thank you for a gorgeous video. May is a pretty wondrous time. We have had warmer weather as well here in Ontario Canada, and I have been sitting outside in between the gardening, observing all the birds coming back and migrating through. These couple of days the white-crowned sparrows are feasting on the bird seed before they continue their journey west and north and I am lucky to have so many of them in my garden this time. Watching them feed, and dance around and sing has made my heart feel a bit lighter.

I love your videos I feel the same about the news and internet I just decided that one can get very wrapped up in all the madness of it all all we can do is just try and be peaceful and loving in our own little natural worlds like little lights shining out from all the chaos

20 degrees in quite high humidity FEELS very warm, I feel knackered after just almost 3 hours of planting, weeding grass out of strawberries and chives and around still very small shrubs like wild roses and currants, plus strimming a bit (still too much grass in my „new“ 2 acres, I hope I will live to see more diversity, more fruit bushes, more flowering plants, more healing herbs, which the former owner didn’t prioritise). I understand what you mean you see it and want to share all the beauty you see. There's nothing wrong with that, and your cottage is beautiful, lady of leisure why not you do what you want to do and you have the experience what you know not everyone else tells you, you go girl and have a lovely tea you was planning. Everything about you to the cottage to the gardens are all nature and natural beauty of sound can't beat what you have ❤❤❤❤

I try to do a No Mow May. I do mow where my garden pavers are, and near where I keep my trash/recycling bins are. We have quite a few ticks in Pennsylvania so I do need to keep the grasses down a bit. Instead of mowing or weed whacking I use clippers to trim some of the taller areas. I totally enjoy seeing all the bees and the butterflies, and I feed birds in both my front and back yards. I even have a few bunnies, chipmunks, squirrels and of course the deer who sometimes drop off their babies in the yard. It does my heart good to look out my windows and see all this life. I even can sit outside on my deck and the birds will come right up to the feeders while I sit there. Blessings.
