Just a ginocentric society can make people think that just ignoring or calling the school director will change something, in what a weak world we have being raised, however I got bullied and I didn't fight back, I was afraid and alone against a lot of them, and I was already depressed before, imagine after that ,however this is another proof why you should fight back with words of if necessary with fists, the memories of that time sometimes still haunts me, 12 years have passed ,you will lose all your self respect , you will be ashamed of yourself and your overall self -esteem will be damaged ,especially because those years when you go to school are so crucial for your development, I was weak and I paid and trust me ,not being able to respect yourself and feeling evirated as a man , I think is the most painful feeling a man can sense, so do not listen to the bullshit ,fight back.

My story went for the mom ending. I escaped from my fears for 4 years, I didn't even went to school 'cause I was afraid of bullies. I totally left social life, closing myself in my room and playing videogames with my friends. Only now I realised I made bad choices. My dad didn't teach me to defend myself. "just ignore them" he used to say. But I couldn't. Every insult, or joke (innocent sometimes) were HEAVY in my head but I didn't have the strength to react. Just standing angry and silent in a corner, letting people to judge everything. If you let weakness win, it will take over you and you'll cannot react. You will be a ghost, a pathetic person who cannot stand up even for his own life but just letting life happen. THAT'S THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU COULD DO FOR YOURSELF. I still having LOTS of self-esteem issues, but at least I'm TRYING to change. I want to be better every month. When you're feeling depressed, like a nobody, it's because IT'S TRUE. Is your own instinct who's saying: "dude, you're doing everything wrong". You're not the good version of you. When you feel bad about yourself means that you must change. I'm not saying to become a rich and cool sigma male, that's business world propaganda, but just DO SOMETHING AND FIGHT YOUR WEAKNESS FOR YOUR OWN LIFE. Or you will be stuck for ever.

One of my elementary schools was actually pretty cool. I was in 8th grade and an A student, quiet with sometimes outbursts of rapping or singing, but those were kept to a minimum. The faculty all saw that I was a good kid and never acted out in class. So some kids did mess with me for that. The faculty always punished the bullies though. I remember we were sat at the reading carpet. We had a few benches, but we couldn't fit anyone else so some brought chairs. This one kid sat behind me. He and his friends kept grabbing people's sides as a joke. When it got to me. I ignored the first few. Then he kept on, so I told him to stop. He kept going, I sat 'Stop' louder. The teacher looked at them and told them to knock it off. That didn't deter them. They kept going until I ended up giving him a Spear from WWE. We bumped into a few desks on the way to the ground. He ended up on top of me but I had him in an armbar. The teacher told us to stop, sat us back down and sat me away from him. No muss no fuss, the rest of class was as productive as it could be. The school allowed me to defend myself because they knew the type of student I was. They knew that most of them were going through hard times and acting out as a way to cope, but they still needed a little bit of order.

Didn't see anyone talking about this but.. the description in 4:41 says "I saw that 3 people partly deciphered my code. If you manage to guess it in its entirety I leave the knowledge or share it with the rest of the..." so there might be a code in the video, which matches with what the dad was saying, and the channel name (LEARN THE CODE) Edit: I've come to realization that the "code" is supposedly the meaning behind the 4 part series (there's most likely a 5th video in the making), so I'm gonna write down an analysis of what I've understood so far. PART 1: The video portrays the difference between traditional men and modern men through the story of a father and son with a good relationship. There are two moments worth highlighting, the first being when the father talks about how his wife got rid of the grandpa's images, which is foreshadowing to part 4 and hinting that the grandpa is disliked, the second moment is when he questions his son's on what he's drinking presuming that the reason his son isn't as masculine is because of what he's been consuming, which possibly hints to the stereotype of a "soyboy" who's weak because he drinks soy products, but then shuts it down since all Ivo was drinking was water. PART 2: The video continues the story, this time it shows how un-masculine Ivo is, and that his father is worried by it, but nonetheless, the father still respects his son and doesn't try to force him to do anything, instead he tries to have some father time with his son by playing catch, going to a shooting range and fixing the shed, which could instill some masculine values in him. On the other side, it shows Ivo's respect for his father, his self-reliance and his willingness to learn and improve by showing how he doesn't shutdown any of his father's idea and goes along with them incase there's something worth learning. Two things are worth noting, the first being the father's commentary of the modern word of consumerism and how everyone is only in it for the buck, and the second being the scene where the father closes Ivo's bedroom door where he seems indifferent. PART 3: This video continues the commentary on masculinity with its story, where the father and son are going on a camping trip. The father tries to be protective by lying to the mother to not worry her, and booking a cottage instead of using tents while underestimating his son. Ivo is shown to be prepared with his downloaded wilderness videos, and his care for his father when not wanting to chop the wood and giving his dad his jacket to cover during the night, it also shows that Ivo is mentally strong and that possibly growing up with unrestricted internet access has lead him to grow desensitized to what some could consider gruesome or inappropriate, at home the mother points out how Ivo is actually trying his best and to give him some time. Like the last part, the video ends with the father closing the door of Ivo's bedroom, but this time he seems happy and hopeful. PART 4: This part is different, it shows the past of the father as some annoying kid, which lead him to getting beaten, and it showed how his parents reacted differently. The mother wanted to call the school and be overly protective, while the father wanted to be aggressive and teach his son how to defend himself but took it a little too far, both parents never considered what the son wanted to do and were pushy. This lead to the suspension of the son, but gave Ivo the lesson that no matter how bad you think you are, you can Improve and get better with time. CONCLUSION: I think the main point of this series is showing the importance of good parenting, today's age sadly lacks it, and many young individuals are left confused or scared on what they want to do. There are many lessons to learn from this series. Firstly being that we should always try, no matter the circumstance, with enough courage anything can get better. Secondly, is the importance of good parenting, whether you have a good parental figure or not will play a role in how you end up later in life, some manage to overcome hardship and reach a better life without father figures, but that's sadly the exception and not the rule, so we should respect our parents knowing that they are trying their best, and in the future, be great understanding parents aswell. Thirdly, being less reliant on consumerism, sometimes its better to just cut the grass yourself rather than call a gardener, some people are in it for the buck and will put in minimum effort even with good pay, so it's important to just do the work if you are able to, instead of paying someone else to do it.

my surface value observations: this isn't a story about bullying,it's a story about a kid being a menace and lying to his parents to save face and pretend he's the victim it's extremely common in schools if he was indeed bullied he would've shown it,i highly doubt he would just skip on important visuals and say "it happened off camera". the teachings the kid gets from his parents still hold real value despite being lied to. I'm still happy to see the first duo get expanded on,they are definitely my favourite characters from all your videos.

Same sort of thing happened for me years ago. My folks complained to the school and got nowhere with them, so I finally snapped one day. Despite the black eye he got though, he came back the next day for another go, ran off crying and, when we got hauled in front of the head for it, got told that he got what he deserved by the teacher himself. Ha!

4:40 "Sometimes the author mixes up the clues to hide a completly different meaning". I dont think people really get the message of the story. The dad of the weak girly looking boy from 4:35 is actually the kid from the first story who grew up to be "just like his dad". The point that everyone s missing is that the guy who actually started the fight was the "bullied" kid who was actually picking on the "bully" who later punched him. After he lost he just played the victim. I think the meaning of the video is the consequences of a lie, because the kid lied to his dad from the beginning saying "he got picked on" instead of "I was messing with the guy first". That's why when he grows up he points out that the message is simple but it has double meaning because he s the only one who knows the true story.

This is more accurate than you know, my parents split when I was young and my mother handled the bullying situation I had by making me avoid the bullies and hope they switched targets and get bored with me, if my dad had known about it all he would have signed me up for karate, he was a brown belt as a young man and never pushed me to fight as I was more interested in other sports. Maybe I would have spent my formative years as a young adult competent and confident instead of a nervous wreck in times of confrontation if I had just told him.

Father was right here, even if his son lied. When I was a kid I also got bullied, and it only stopped when I fought back. Not only did it stop, I started to be respected, whenever a new student tried to mess with me, someone would go up to them and be like "are you sure? he's really good at fighting back, you won't have a fun time". Now I will say that a couple of years later I did develop to be a very annoying kid, mostly because I was very immature and selfish, and I didn't get "bullied" that time, simply because people knew I was good at fighting, that was also around the time my dad convinced me to start practicing kung fu to get in shape (for context, he also used to pratice kung fu), so that was another reason for people to not "mess" with me. Despite that, my younger self would later definitely want to have been corrected by his classmates in the form of """bullying""". Because I didn't have anyone to correct me, when I reached 14, bout the age you finally start to mature, my uncorrected immaturity started to really drag me down, to the point I started to develop depression, and later even suicidal thoughts, all because my selfish and immature ass couldn't deal with the process of basic maturing. I was always very good at lying, deceiving and hiding info tho, so I managed to do a good job making sure nobody knew what I was actually feeling. I wouldn't recommend anyone to do the same, but I'm glad I did it, throughout that phase of my life, I may have suffered a lot, but dealing with it all by myself it taught me very precious lessons the other kids couldn't have taught me, since they were afraid of messing with me. At the end of that phase of my life, I can confidently say I was much more mature than most of the kids in my class, and much more self-confident as well, and even having changed a lot since then, I always keep those moments of learning near and dear to my heart and I could not have matured further into who I am nowadays without them. I'm glad to say I have been more than fine these years. I have been facing some problems in life, but at least I know I'm very happy with the person I have become. I just realized, while writing this, that I kinda went off topic here, oops. Anyways: My point is that tough learning is much better than no learning, no matter how tough it may be. I think the father was right here, but the son would have much higher chances of growing into a better person had he not both lied and fought back, and instead just tried to understand why he got beat up in the first place. But nothing comes close to the damage that's probably being caused by the overprotectiviness of the mother here, and if I had to guess, being raised that way is probably what led the son to lie in his first place. I cannot stress enough how damaging overprotective behavior is. I'd rather be treated underprotectively than overproctectively, 100%. If you want your kids to grow up properly, the last two things you should do is to be overprotective and to be overcontroling. I'd also like to comment on the end message of the video: it's very true: At least try. If you fail, at least you will be going down with honor. And let me tell you something, being able to honor yourself is something really important.

It doesn't matter if you win the fight or not. What matters is that you fight back. As long as you give the bully trouble for picking on you, they won't touch you again. Bullies don't like to be confronted. They want their victims to take the abuse without giving anything back.

It's not about fighting, only him who knows how to manipulate people, change how he thinks, and knows that how he is treated by most is based on the perception he gives, may his path to social acceptance rise and give him way. I used to be a fat slob, really geeky, watched anime, I then started doing calisthenics or something that looked cool, hit a glow up, got a beard, all while being 5'7. Another glow up came but a mental one, started taking pride in myself, found a quality I have and banked on it like it was my life, I revere it, I think "you should be glad to be in my presence" that's how I gained confidence and changed people's perception about me. It's all in the head, 50% willing to admit what your faults are, 10% saying "it is what it is" (you can't change people, 40% putting the work in. An extra 5% to those that question everything.

Many here keep commenting about how this video is about bullying, some even relating it to their own experience, which is both tragic and valid, no one should be bullied and need to resort to violence to make it stop, but what I notice is that they're making huge leaps in the story to associate the main character with their own. There's no indication to say that the father as a kid was bullied, he was a jester who pulled a prank on someone bigger than him, who then challenged him to a fight, which he agreed upon, then lost the fight and went back home with shame for what he did. There was no reason to believe he was being "picked on", one instance of any type of violence does not mean he's being bullied, it has to be repeated over and over. He was a clown, and other people responded to his annoying behavior in their own ways. Think about what would've happened if the mother had indeed called the school and had the situation explained to them. They'd have realized soon enough the whole situation, how he was making others uncomfortable with his behavior, how his actions led to the fight, and, in the best case scenario, could've worked with the school and both kids to deal with their respective behaviors; the MC wasn't right to pull pranks on others, and the other guy wasn't right for punching him. Instead of doing that, the father shut down the mother, both avoided any explanation other than "my son is always right", and his father proceeded to teach him that, if others don't respect his way of existing, then he has to resort to violence to assert dominance. When he did, and the other parents did what he didn't want to do and went to the school to complain about their own child being beaten on, then he reacted like the victim and threatened with legal action. What could've been a learning experience for the son about the effects of their own behavior on others turned into distrust for the system and the belief that he, alone, as an individual, is living in a hostile world that wants to put him down, and that if he doesn't show force, then others will show it to him, because that's what is expected of him as a man. This is how you effectively build and perpetuate egocentrism that will then turn into toxic behaviors. This video was about gender stereotypes and how toxic masculinity, which is just aggressive behavior disguised as assertiveness, affected the main character in a pretty pervasive way. If you remember previous videos, you'll remember that this kid later on became the big, bad bully in high school and college who didn't mind seeing his friends picking on smaller guys than him. He became what he feared because his father pushed him to put himself above others, no matter the cost. Later on, he has a son of his own and finds himself unable to connect with him and his worldview centered on caring, because he shut down his own feelings under the belief that it was "weak" to be anything else other than the shark. These series of videos are brilliant, and I love how much thought you can put into them and reflect about how parenting and social expectations can push a person into becoming the person they currently are.

Unfortunately, my bully was one of my teachers because I was much smarter than him and would call him out when he was wrong about stuff. He would try to push thinly-veiled Christian creationism nonsense into his science class. He would also grade me much harsher than the other students and I couldn't do anything about it. Well, one time he tried to embarrass me in front of the entire class the one time I forgot a homework assignment. He said something to the effect that how could my parents raise someone so irresponsible making it sound like it was a common occurrence. It's like he was trying to get back at a kid who knew far more about the subject than he did and would push back against his wild and radical beliefs in public school. I finally snapped and saw red. I stood up and socked him right in the side of the head. I was suspended before the other students ended up siding with me saying that he was always on my case far more than anyone else's. He was later fired for trying to preach theocratic nonsense that wasn't part of the curriculum. Separation of church and state and all that. It was poetic justice.

Once in middle school, I had a rivalry with this kid named Zach, who had been bullying me time after time for stupid things like wearing New balance when he had Nikes. Every day, it was something new, and he had a couple of friends that would always laugh at me and he'd always make jokes about me, and I'd respond with some stupid comeback that never really landed. It just made them laugh harder. I remember that he was a black belt in karate and he always told me he could "kick my ass," but one time we were out playing football as a class, and I accidentally ran into him when I caught the ball. He grabbed me and threw me to the ground. I saw red and his face just seemed to me the most punchable face I'd ever seen, so I slowly got up, waited for him to turn to his friends and start laughing, threw the ball into his face to stun him, kicked his shins, grabbed him by the neck, put him on his back, and kneed his head over and over. It was so uncoordinated, but it surprised him. I still remember his black hair with blood in it, how hard he screamed, and how he basically started crying in front of the class. I went to the principal's office for that one and the teacher tried to claim that I "assaulted him for no reason," but my classmates (except for his friends) backed me up and said he threw me down. Funny enough, his parents actually weren't even mad at me, because his mom and mine were friends and she knew that her son was bullying me. I heard his mom go, "what did you do to him to start it?" The principal threatened to suspend me for a week, but she just gave me detention for 4 days instead. My dad took me out for ice cream. Still one of the high points of my childhood. I remember how proud my dad was.

As I am growing up and just starting to work. Bullying is not so black and white anymore. Its a lot more subtle. especially and work. everyone treats you well and help you where they can but will occasionally take advantage of you. You don't even realise you are being bullied until one ay someone slips up and lets you know how well they are being treated as supposed to you even though you guys are doing the same job. As men we have that spirit to fight back but its hard when the enemy has helped you many times before and part of a larger system that is designed to use you and spit you out. As you grow you will be in a position to do the same to others. And now you are the bully. I am just saying, be aware at all times. Seek out trustworthy mentors and never make the mistake of being too quick to trust someone at work. Thinking they are on your side, no matter what they say. I am young so i cant say this for sure but it seems to be extremely difficult to be a good person and do right by your employees. so watch yourself in case you are becoming the kind of person you hate.

When I was a kid (like 8 or 9) I used to be really violent towards other kids due to me being that way when I played with my older brothers. I was at recess one afternoon at school and was playing tag until I tagged a girl way harder than I thought I did. She was bleeding really bad and I was traumatized, it all hit me in that moment “I really hurt this girl” I thought. From then on out I never wanted to hurt anyone ever again whether it was physical or mental. I would all come back to me in my first year of middle school when I had to deal with bullies for the first time. Of course I didn’t see fighting them as the way out so I endured it even trying to talk them out of it on one occasion. This resulted in them beating me up to the point I had started to get bruises which I would cover up to avoid my dad seeing. Eventually it got too much and I snapped one day but before I threw a punch I remembered that day in elementary school. I immediately unclenched my fist and decided to remain a unaware pacifist, that was until they started picking on another kid who tried to fight back but couldn’t beat them. The next time they we’re bullying that kid I stood up for him and fought them seeing no other way to resolve it going against my self imposed code. After a while they ran off saying they would tell the principle on me but I was disappointed that I hurt someone again. I was sent to the principals office but was vouched for by the kid I helped defend against the bullies. I remember after that those guys never messed with me or that kid again and I walked away realizing that I was fine with taking the hits but if it happened to someone else I would intervene. This is getting pretty long so I leave whoever’s reading with this it’s okay to not choose violence when it comes to yourself but protecting someone who can’t defend themselves will always require a tough heart. Edit: there are those who are fine with taking those hits but there is never shame in fighting back in self defense.

Laughing it off might work, might not. I dunno, start acting creepy around them. They'll try spreading rumors that you're creepy, but you keep doing it and they'll be seen as delirious and everybody thinks they're insane. Yes, my advice is to gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss!
