Grow with Skelmersdale (1977) 

I lived in skelmersdale until I was 18 months old. Born in Ormskirk

Roll forward 45 years all those companies in the industrial estate gone 😢 now manufactured in low cost countries, all the leisure facilities more or less gone , and the housing estate looks a shambles 😢

I worked in the watch factory in the school holidays 1979 it was run by a my dad’s friend and his sister. I was terrified of her!😂

I moved to skem from Liverpool in the 60s

Got my first car from Skelmersdale Motors in Digmoor.

Not a shadow of what it was or meant to be. Many industries gone and schools with local churches gone. So much promised to a large community but never given..

Roll on years later a sh it hope now
