We wiped out the wolves, that is why there are so many deer.

Moles are a BIG problem. They have tunneled under some of my landscape plants which removes the dirt around a lot of the roots and the plants start to decline. Also had moles get into my raised bed of baby onions. They tunneled around churning up the soil in the bed and the next morning I couldn't even find the baby onions. I wish there had been more information on squirrels. They get into my fruit trees and I never get any of my apples.

Thank You for your positive input on the deer issue - I have tried that double low "fence" method using fishing line instead of wire & amazingly it really does work & deer will not cross it! I have found blood meal is the best product out there to deter them - I love your show Joe and keep up the good work!

Thanks Sherri for your nice comments and positive feedback. I'm glad that 2 wire trick is working!

The Humane Gardener has a different perspective on this. They are part of this planet, as are we. Coexist.

No argument there. But people also would like to know how to co-exist and redirect wildlife away from their food crops. It’s not mutually exclusive.

Rehome feral cats, and they will control your voles. Be sure to think through your bird feeding techniques, so you are not creating a problem with your vole solution.

I see moles as a beneficial animal in my garden/yard; they help aerate the soil and don't harm plants. And they are NOT rodents, they're insectivores.

moles as a beneficial animal? If you want to keep earth worm population up, moles are not your friend!

I seem to have them in my raised beds and low areas in the yard the most. The moles and voles really mess things up. I usually use Caster oil pellets in the yard. Have a hard time getting them out of the raised beds especially when using grass as mulch which I really like for weed control. They really mess up the soil where newly planted seeds have been planted. Thanks for the info.

The year I had the least critters in my garden was when a family of coyotes decided to come visit!

neem oil. it keeps rabbits and deer from mowing down my hostas, hydrangeas and roses as well as bug damage and the oil helps fend off mildew.

Hi. I am new to the show. How big is your garden? How many can it feed? I am starting out with a 50x50 this year. Good show because we have many deer here in southern missiouri.
