Congrats on getting mentioned on the 8yrs of Cities Skylines. I'm really glad the little guys are getting more noticed and you deserve it a lot. Looking forward to building along with you when CS2 finally drops for us to play. It'll be the first major game that I play since I first built my computer 2yrs ago. Keep up the good work.

So proud of you for Best Cities of 2022!! Im so glad you're getting the recognition you deserve. The amount of time, effort, and love you put into your cities and videos never ceases to amaze me. :) And as always, thank you so much for all the amazing tutorials and guides you make. I opened CS the other day to play and quit after 15 minutes because I want to build like you do but am not nearly talented enough 😅😂

Congratulations on getting featured on the Cities skylines: best cities of 2022. Crater Lake was the first series which I watched and that also made me fall in love with this game. A tip for those who may see it: place services on local roads beside collectors. The median in the vanilla 4 lane road doesn’t allow emergency and service vehicles to turn left and creates unnecessary traffic in your grids or neighbourhoods and firetrucks won’t get to fires as quickly.

Since Cities Skylines 2 is announced I don't expect new DLC or updates for the first one. Perhaps a good time to do a new ''beginners'' guide all DLC including with Traffic manager

Loving your videos, thank you! What's your preferred method of navigating the map? Do you just use a mouse? I'd like to find a different way of moving around the map than by using the keys on the keyboard.

I use the keys. But I slow it down with a mod called play it. I run the simulation at half speed so it's not to jerky

Great video, I enjoy this series! Are you utilising trams because of the look/vibe that it gives the city, or does it also bring effectiveness in the transport system? Im from Stockholm, Sweden and they love the extensive subway system there. Whereas I now live in the second biggest city in Sweden (Gothenburg) where they utilise the tram. I think it is terrible compared to the subway. It messes up traffic flow - it is slow and ineffective in real life. So I guess what my question comes down to is - in terms of effectivness for people - how realistic is the "transportation logics" in the game?

Trams are better than busses but ultimately metro are better that tram. The cost to entry is much higher for metro though but the long term benefits are better

Here is a tip. Buses will go down pedestrian tram lines. Found this out as I was watching a bus pick up people on a normal road

@@CityZilla also I feel like something is broken in the simulation now. Much smaller cities seem to break down sooner. I had over 300 k in 9 tiles on Xbox. Now trash and bodies pile up at 45 k? Wtf? The airports are totally ridiculously broken also

Yeah, I have noticed a change as well. It wouldn't surprise me if it had to do with some of the dlc. Hopefully cs2 fixes a lot of the simulation problems
