I bought a tiny pop up garden tent that holds 4-5 gallon buckets. $18. A tiny fan $8. A tiny intermittent humidifier $13. And a plant heating mat. $15. Humidity stays at 84 and temp around 70f. Works great for Oyster mushrooms.
I would recommend a black bin for your humidifier so your water doesn't turn green. Other than that. It looks great 👌 I'm in the process of re setting up in a new smaller area also. I don't have much room to work with at all. However my fruiting chamber is a 4'l x 2'w x6' tall grow tent. I will make the best of my space that is for sure. So fingers crossed all goes well. Goodluck with your new set up.
Did this setup work well long term without active ventilation? What about spores in your apartment? I guess the king oysters don't need active ventilation.
I'm having a terrible time trying to fruit in a tent. My oysters do great until the half grown then the turn brown and rot. But the shitakes are doing good. Any ideas?
It could be you're having a problem with over-humidifying your tent. Get a hydrometer and make turn off your mister, you'll probaby find that it sits at 75-95% humidity for a long time after you've turned them off mate.
I noticed that you are using 10 head ultrasonic mist maker, is the buoy for it homemade or you bought it from somewhere? As I ordered 10 head ultrasonic mist maker but can't find buoy for it.
