The nice thing about the Kiku Chrysanthemum Melon and the Sakata's Sweet Melon is that they are small enough to grow on a trellis. I grew mine in a very large tomato cage, and they ended up doing very well. In this video, I will show you how they did through the spring and summer, and then do a taste test on both melons.
I mentioned in the video that I would try leaving the Sakata's Sweet Melon on the vine a little longer to see if they would taste better. I did do that, and I couldn't notice much difference in taste. There was a slight difference in texture. They tasted great both ways.
If you've grown either of these melons, let us know what you think of them.
