Lucky Bamboo and True Bamboo are two different plants, though they look alike. True Bamboo (Bambusoideae subfamily) is not an aquatic plant and will rot in an aquarium.
Dracaena Sanderiana, or Lucky Bamboo, can, however, grow in an aquatic environment. But can Lucky Bamboo grow in an aquarium as a submerged plant? And can emersed plants grow and thrive while rooted in water?
